Re: Mo' Buta
great shelf Lixx! I love the mix of colors and that new zarab postman fits in very nicely. I hope that Keronia will finally join my collection one day.. I've missed it too many times to count.

What a great flurry of activity in this thread! Cool pics all around! I took my goki out for a spin too. They could be improved I know, I'm too impatient to edit apparently.

Re: Mo' Buta
Nice photos, I really like the second one. That is some wildnerness that is right up my alley. Just the right clearing for me to start building my cabin (away from all other civilisation).

Love the outdoor shot! kurumonz wrote: Hah. Vac lady must be thinking which pesky fella is playing with her vacuum. LOL yeah I've never been able to display that Haybusa vacuum part effectively. It always takes too much space when attached. BUT I did finally find a use for a Charactics gift box that came with the mini Matangos: makeshift riser for Ikarus so now everyone is elevated! Not anymore (with any of my pics lol) Pics are public again. EDIT: Wait what the hell? Are you telling me even though they are public I have to go back and relink every single photo I posted here? Fuck that! If there is an easier way someone let me know. I thought by mass batch edit- change permission these would all magically reappear. Nope.

Re: Mo' Buta
Double post, displaced from the Buta topic Discovering Buta's style with my first pieces and I must say those are really neat. They stand out as really original and distinctive. They are cute without being too cute, which would annoy me after some time.

Re: Mo' Buta
I updated all my pics in this thread and thought hmmm maybe a new group shot would be cool. These shots didn't come out as cool as I wanted them to though. Too much in the background. I originally just wanted the big Spaceman to have his head over the rest of the toys (like he was eyeing them up for lunch) and nothing else but I only have a point and shoot which tends to 'fisheye' the composition all the time. Shame because my girlfriend has a big lightbox made but we don't have a light source to go over it so can't use it. Good excuse to dust though.

Re: Mo' Buta
Well it is really nice to see them all out together like that Chris. Wow, the collections sure do tend to grow silently when you are not watching eh? That is a really a spectacular grouping of Buta toys, and I am happy to see so many in your family. These toys really do seem to belong together, don't they?

Looks to me like Chris has been behaving these past couple of years, actually - most of those beauties have lived at Chez Lixx for years now! ^ From a post of his that melted my mind back in October of '11: viewtopic.php?p=640349#p640349Welcome to the fold, Olivier! I'm glad that yet another excellent maker has begun to manufacture hits from your toku drug of choice.

I think I have a net gain of +14 or 15 since then, so what 3.5 per year since? Availability to purchase upon release, and too many people collecting Butanohana- driving up prices and making it scare. Stop collecting Butanohana- these are not the droids you are looking for lol. Just kidding. It really comes down to I collect so much more than Butanohana so funds aren't always there and I ain't paying flipper prices.

^ Yeah... I still refuse to go the flipper route, but all of my other plastic interests have suffered from my fixation on these pretties anyway. Not that I'm complaining - Garyquest completed! Query answered. Verdict: (in these eyes) more green than blue. Prognosis: Will be pursuing this Garamon pretty hard.

Re: Mo' Buta
Love the green, and on a personal level I think I like every subtle change Oohashi-san did to the sculpt was an improvement. Which, on an already great figure, shows how much his passion for these characters is; he is constantly re-thinking, re-imagining. Simply amazing work, thanks for the details shots D.

Re: Mo' Buta
^ The most underrated sculpt of the year, if you judge things by the flip market at least. Nice capture, sir.

Re: Mo' Buta
Ughhhh. So good! There is a lot of Buta on my want list, but the Zarab set is the one that keeps me up at night. Someday....hopefully. LL said it best, I can't live without my radio.
