Fuck, how does one open the Commander boxes without destroying them? The slip sleeve is obvious, but the next box is a mystery. Never seen anything like it before. Anyone?

U mean removing the staple from the inner package?
If so, just do it slowly and carefully, the staple comes off quite easily without much harm to the cardboard.

Thanks, I was looking for a way to disassemble the box to get at the back of the staples.
Success finally.

Very cool. I am not sure metallics would have been my first choice, as I prefer the flat and coloured look, but I do quite like the blue/red one. Very interesting to see also that Ilu Ilu is pairing up with Medicom. Could be a sign for a lot of folks to get their hands on a first version of some of his work.

They also paired up for a gorz release a couple of years back.
At least it gives a chance to pick something up outside of events even though they'll only be a few to go round.

They've been in bed with Medicom since 2011, actually - Neo Gorilla and Tokio kicked off the partnership, and there has been at least one co-release a year since: http://medicomtoy.co.jp/search/%E3%82%A ... %E3%83%AB/

Ah nuts, did anyone get entered into the techno loaders lottery? I just checked AA on the very very very off chance there would be any of these left, didn't realize it was lottery style. Yeah, lottery closed.

SO excited for those Medicom exclusives! Liked this toy from first sight of them, Ilu Ilu does such a wonderful job with all their toys right down to the packaging.

Just a side note, but why are the AA Techno Loaders priced at 330$? How big are they, and is that how much they normally go for? Just wondering..

They are around 7 inches, several inches taller than their usual fare (for example, Gorz, Tokio, etc.).

There are a lot of little parts and insane details, and coupled with low production numbers, that is where is the steep price tag is coming from I am guessing.

First set was 24,000yen for the Robots and minis. Another 4,500yen got you the poster and arcade mini.

It is a bit of a steep price, admittedly, though it is worth every Yen of it. Hopefully there will eventually be another small poster set or something for the fans on a smaller budget, as I can see how these might not be within everyone's reach. But I can also appreciate Ilu Ilu not wanting to compromise his quality or design in the slightest, and if anything, is only stepping it up with each release. Some of the top production out there for vinyl toys. So, a bit expensive, yes, but you are paying for craftsmanship. A lot of other hyped/art toyz that everyone doesn't blink at dropping their cash on (until the latest thing comes around that is) cannot boast as much. I'd still happily welcome a low cost alternative of these guys to build an army and battle my monsters, but I would be thrilled with one of these delightful robots on a shelf too.

Anyone want to get in on a time-share investment for one of these with me? :)

I got the blue and it's much bigger than expected.

I haven't been able to bring myself to cut the tape and open the box, though I want to so badly.

Congratulations, Joe.

I'm curious what the sword colors were for each this time.

^ I think that's probably my second favorite version -- I love the 'old computer grey' torso color.

Great picture (as always) and congrats on the score!
