Re: Anraku Ansaku! Well, you obviously don't know that the distinctive feature of Tanukis are their huge balls. All around Japan are scattered ceramic Tanukis each displaying bigger balls than the previous one.
So removing this feature when doing a Tanuki toy is removing all the fun.

Re: Anraku Ansaku! Has anyone noticed the size difference in the new Goga compared to the earlier Goga? The newest Goga is at least an inch taller then the first one. I only noticed this since I could not fit the new one onto the shelf my old one was on. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Are you sure? It looks like the OG legs are in a little different

Orange one is my favorite of all the versions out there,
its perfect. Is the new version the same weight as old? Thanks for the suggestion kichigai - Yeah - feet are set the same and the new one still has height over the older one....don't have a small scale to weigh them to see if there is a weight difference.

Re: Anraku Ansaku! Could also be an age issue. Vinyl is a soft material. With time the weight of the head on the front could have caused the little guy to hunch over. The way will all will when we reach ripe old age.

Not that it'll drop off when you pick it up but you can easily pluck of the tail.

Looks like the next batch of preorders has dropped domestically. Folks are already flipping them on YJA. The Dako looks pretty good, at least through the double bag.
