Ive been incredibly patient this whole time, and even after a year would be fine with waiting... but its been the complete lack of response to months of emails that has me posting about this publicly. Its just rude and unprofessional, especially since from my end Ive only been understanding.

Yeah, some sort of compensation would be great if they are actually lost. That never even crossed my mind.. Ive just wanted to know whats up and move on.

Ugh, I'm so sorry to hear about this (and that it's happening to other artists as well). A little communication goes a long, long way. Hopefully this discussion can get some action - even if it's just a response to emails.

No sweat - I reposted it into the Velocitron thread, hopefully we get some kind of answer in there? Such a shitty situation - if it's any indication of where Ricky is at he hasn't posted on Instagram for over a year either. I hope he is doing ok health-wise?? I'm inclined to think it isn't an issue because I'm sure I've seen Velocitron commissioned vinyl pulls for other companies steadily throughout the year?

Ill just keep my posts to here unless this gets moved and leave the velocitron thread alone.

If other people having this same issue dont want to talk about it publicly that is fine with me, but Ill keep everyone updated on whats going on with my stuff because I think anyone trying to get toys made should be aware of this.

I dont think its a health issue either... I got in contact with someone who knows ricky and they sent him a text message concerning my issue yesterday. They said ricky would get in contact with me. So far I havent heard anything, but I'll give it a few days..

Any news come through about this?

Someone else with issues was told Ricky would be in contact the first week of the month.
So still some time if thats really the case.

I sincerely hope all situations get sorted and *all* artists are resolved and can continue production. Every single artists and project matters, big or small! Fingers crossed!

I posted the comment below in the "Velocitron Tread" and thought it would apply here, I hope it helps a little.

"I just got a response to my last email to Ricky the other night. According to him he's back logged to pretty much a halt. It sounds like he's trying very hard to catch up and told me that he is going to start on my project next week (wax stage). Its been sever months that he's had my sculpt but I knew going in that he wouldn't be able to get to my stuff for awhile due to the other folks ahead of me. I could've been further along but there was a delay on my part and missed that window.

He's pretty slow with emails that's for sure and I think there's a lot of room for improvement there. I see here that folks are willing to wait for the quality work that Ricky does so long as they're kept up to date with what's going on and schedules are pretty much kept close to their target dates. I personally feel the same and that prompt email responses makes the wait easier and eases anxieties.

He's hardly online and it seems he's not aware of this thing brewing here but I've given him a heads up. Hopefully he doesn't wait too long to read my last reply so that perhaps he can stop by and clear this matter up."

I received an email from Ricky today.
I should be getting all of my things sent back to me soon.
He was really nice and apologetic about everything.

Sounds like everyone else should be hearing something soon too.

Great news! Any chance of you still trying to get the vinyl made? If you had a kickstarter, I know I'd support this awesome toy and snag one.

Oh damn - I'm sorry to hear that. I'm guessing with all of the new toys coming out the workload must be enormous for small operations..

From the last email he sent me last night it doesn't sound like that's the case. From what I understand, Ricky is not taking anymore new clients right now. He's going to fulfill all the projects/orders he's got and then be very selective from now on.

Guess he got extremely overwhelmed, then. I haven't seen anything new from him, so I guess he's just been too focused on fufilling orders to do his own work. :/

Right now Im just having everything sent back to me including the molds for stegoforest.

I dont have the funds to ship everything around and produce new stuff right now.
Maybe with the blank Stegos that are coming to me I can start to build up some funds again.

I wont be doing another kickstarter... There arent enough people who are in to my stuff to get something funded. I gave it a shot, and ended up just dissapointing the few fans I do have.

I will probably get this stuff going again at some point, but dont know when and I dont want to make any promises.

At least the molds are coming back, so the investment isn't a total loss.

Heres an update for everyone...

Received what I am saying is possibly the last order of stegos in the mail the other day.
Theres a chance I'll be moving the molds to another factory, but just in case, Im calling these the last ones for now.

Also got the sculpts back for the kappa and rider.
Looks like parts broke, and were repaired on those.
I'm indefinitely holding on to those since I don't have the money or time to be producing my own stuff now that my daughter takes up both of those things.
I've had people offer, but I don't want to take anyones money to get those made since things didn't work out the first time around.
If a company wanted to take on the sculpts and handle everything on their end I would go that route.

Thanks for sharing the news. A shame that the sculpts had broken at some point, too. Still it's good to know that you have some more Stegos in, and to not have everything hanging in limbo.

Even if this series doesn't continue, I'm happy that this was made in the first place, and glad to have a Stegoforest and Acorn Warrior on my shelf as a part of my collection.

Glad things got sorted out. Btw, Ricky has always been nothing short of spectacular with me. Great guy all around. It is a shame that logistics got in the way of the project.
