I had to call Schwab and the Unclaimed Department of Connecticut, go to a notary to get shit notarized only to find out that my expired driver's permit AND pistol permit don't count as forms of identification, go to the DMV aka Hell to get a Connecticut State Identification Card, then realize that waiting took so long that all banks are closed so can't get my claim notarized... And then I got it notarized the next morning and now I have to wait an undetermined amount of time to get HALF OF MY ENTIRE LIFE SAVINGS BACK, THAT I WILL HAVE TO PAY TAXES ON BECAUSE THEY LIQUIDATED MY SHARES.

I admit I don't really know how it would work down in the US, but it really seems like this shouldn't be legal. I don't care what kind of 'fine print' there might be in the agreement, that does not seem right or plausible [to me] at all. And then to be penalised on top of it, after all this effort to get back what is yours by right. Grrr. I know it is a massive headache already, but I think for all that money I would seriously consider, and maybe look into, pursuing this further. I look a pics of toys the whole KR migration/instagram crowd are into and pics from shows and think "This toy board is not for me anymore!" Really don't like what I see. Wiish it was mainly a toy board for licensed older characters and bootleg toys influenced by those said toys/ an or toys with more effort put into them. If it weren't for friends made here I'd be gone.

I love pachi and neo kaiju, but to me pretty much everything in this hobby is ultimately predicated on the prior existence of all those awesome licensed characters. This board would never have existed without the golden age of kaiju. God bless em all, every last rubber suit. Granted sometimes influences can stretch further back with yokai/oni characters, but to me this hobby would be shallow and meaningless like a KR D#$ny without the history of licensed characters behind it.

I just wish everything new didn't look like Rob Zombie created it or looking like a Molly Hatchet /Iron Maiden t-shirt from the 80's. So sick of skulls, two heads, warlord looking toys, babies, zombies etc etc Come on you guys feel me on this lol....

I'm more of a "modern sofubi" fan, and even I feel the same way as you guys do. Two heads and horror toys are really starting to grow stale. I see people coming out with toys like that, and I'm just like "oh look, another." Rotting limbs, twisted zombie faces, two heads, staples and stitches... All being really overdone these days. Also prime fodder for the "quick flip."

I absolutely go gaga for modern toys that have a story/history behind them, though. Learning how Gargamel (and Shikaruna, and Marmit, and Target Earth but for me it started with Gargamel) all borrowed from the original kaiju "Bagun" and "Zagora" from the book 'Zagora Yama no Kaiju' made me so much more interested in the toys and sculpts. The toys are new, but the history is namely Japanese. I'd love to see more of that... Toys done in a Japanese medium, of Japanese yokai and kaiju.

Years ago my wife ordered a belt buckle for me & our card was used to sign up for a dating site. She was really making a big deal out of it as if I was the one who signed up until the bank told her it was her card. This was right around Christmas, the worst time to have your card frozen & waiting on a replacement in the mail.
