My fingers are crossed so tightly to get one of these guys. I haven't loved a new toy as much as this in a long time.

Duh, I've been looking at the site for weeks on my laptop and it just shows a nice image. On the phone though, where I never looked, it shows the items and info. Why the difference I don't know. Another thing missed this weekend. Crazy.
Next time.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
A definite full score figure. Even for something coming from HS, I just love this guy. Yeah, I have a soft spot for robots, but he was done so well. Aside from the obvious Tetsujin-28 homage, and the very classic King Joe nod, I am seeing so many interesting designs elements harkening back to classic robot designs and manga of artists like Osamu Tezuka. A really wonderful figure all around. Good luck to everyone, this is going to be one nice toy sitting on any shelf. Hopefully the larger run size brings luck to a few 'brainers.

^ I was thinking the same thing T28 and Osama Tezuka mixed together into a super appealing, but still original design. I didn't think this guy would get quite as much love due to his slightly more "cartoony" look, which is why I love it more. Even without owning or seeing it in person, it's 1 of my 2 favorite HxS toys. Good luck everyone.

It's a perfect hybrid of old school anime and new design. It's great though and love the 'sticker' (t28) Great toy.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
Yeah, you guys summed it up very well. He took something classic, but made it his own. It is unquestionably classic HS while staying true to the material which no doubt inspired him in his own youth. Which is why this guy looks equally excellent and in place in a battle stance next to one of his other figures, just as he would stomping a city and getting fought back by Astroboy.

The new Masami Watanabe drawn header doesn't hurt either. That guy paints pure magic.

I love that Brutal Ace has the crazy flesh, metal tearing claws. So fitting for his name.

If that means you got one, congratulations that's really cool. I'm just glad that I can stop thinking about it. That is a gift in itself.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
Maybe there is still a chance ? HS sometimes sends emails out in batches , so maybe he sent out 25 & will finish up tonight / Thursday with the remaining 25.. & there's always the chance someone won't pay in time ...
