Kimono my house- circa 2007
I moved to San Francisco in 2007 from Richmond VA. I was a kaiju and vinyl toy nerd so of course one of the first places i wanted to visit was the fabled Kimono My House in Emeryville. Flynn told stories of driving 24 hours straight there from texas to buy all he could in the 90s. I made the trek and although it wasn't full of vintage Marusan and Bullmark. I still loved every aspect of it. Here are some photos from my first trek there.
It was located on the roof of a non-descript warehouse in Emeryville, which is a nice way of saying Oakland, The warehouse was full of artist spaces and hippie living quarters. You had to walk up rickety old steps to get to the roof where you were greeted by a Giant Ultraman. These are all I have . Hoping some of you guys might have some too since I forgot to take more photos on the inside.
