they're cute, they're rough. i will buy an orange but i am still a bit on the fence of the medicom releases... what i've seen so far the mini's are banging but the larger pieces lack a bit..... still buying them just haven't taken them out yet

Phantomfauna - Is the Medicom one larger than the original or are they same size? In the pic it seems about 1/2 inch taller

That's a little bit of the camera angle, but it is almost a quarter inch taller. I don't think the Dako was remolded or anything...The head on the original just fits closer into the body.

VInyl also shrinks a little as it ages. The original could actually be a little smaller, just because it's shrunk slightly over time.

That was my thinking. My yellow Dako is also slightly smaller then the new version.

I wish I could have went for the larger Dako. One of the best Medicom versions of Anraku I've seen. Not as cool as this OG gem but close enough:



I went for the mini Glutamine- all I can afford. Plus side: I'm building a nice Anraku mini collection no? Optimal for my limited space and budget lol.

I really like the new sculpt and will try and save up for the blue version, but I wish the belly was left unpainted on both.

What's everyone going for with the Sasakamabikuchi? Red or blue?

They are so different. I think I'm tending towards the red but I'm not 100% yet.

Chris, I don't know it will help with the decision, but the blog has more pictures of the storefront display with the red and blue. I like the blue Garamond tribute the best out of the two.

I'm thinking blue. I like the tribute and I already have a red Dako on my shelf and a green Goga, so blue should balance nicely.

they both look beautiful in the test shots. there is something really magical about the red but i need to see them both in person before one lands on my shelf.

NICE. I actually really like the panda. I remember watching the youtube vid. I get why it's not everyone's cup of tea but I think it's great.
