As repugnant as Trump is, Cruz would be the worst thing to ever happen to the US. It's just amazing that we have so many candidates in one election that make Dubya look sane, smart, and harmless by comparison.

It will be a cold day in hell before I vote for a Republican president, but I'm sorry I'm not drinking the Kool-Aid on Bernie. He has a lot of great ideas that have zero basis in reality.

Free college for all and get Wall Street to pay for it. In a parallel universe, that could happen. Not in this one. Drastically lowering interest rates on student loans is a great idea to me, however.

I don't like Hillary much personally either, but really folks a lot of Bernie's ideas are politically naive and would go nowhere. The president still has checks and balances to his power, thankfully. Otherwise we would really be screwed if someone like Trump or Cruz got elected.

I don't think turning our current economic structure on its head overnight is the answer any more than electing a cartoon character reality TV star. I don't like any of our choices to be honest.

I really do like Bernie as a person, I like his integrity, and think some of his ideas have merit. I just don't think he will get very far at all with them, especially with the current Congress. I try to look at these candidates objectively, not emotionally. So I take zero offense when people don't agree w/ me. Bernie may end up being the lesser of all evils in this situation. Time will tell.

Or invent something that everyone needs, sell it for a billion dollars, and buy your own island where you rule. Get sustainable food wise/ structure wise. That's the dream-to say sayonara to the US, borders, and this whole shit show. Just make sure you do your sea level rise calculations correctly and build accordingly (I mean it will all eventually be under water but hopefully not in your lifetime).

Psilo, would you give up social security or medicare (once considered socialist movements by the right)? What conservative reforms do you want that you think would make the nation better? Do you think there is no global environmental crises? Are you afraid the dems are going to take away your guns? Do you really think "people of color" are programmed to vote D or that maybe they are voting in what hey see as slightly more in their best interests?

I am just asking. I am really curious. No attack here at all. No name calling. Just asking.
