Looking for Mr. Flipper (for Mr. Bumper).
As you can see here, there's a release party in Seattle this weekend:
http://strangeco.com/feature.php?id=86#
I'm in New Jersey, so I can't go. I'm interested in the color variants. Is anyone going, and if so, can you hook me up? Please let me know, thanks.

Huh- I didn't think any variants would be presented at the OKOK party, from reading this comment from Jim on his blog:
"The full spectrum of MR. BUMPER's pristine vinyl bloodlines still lurks in the gloom of the wandering continent and will not be along until January."
I'm really excited for this release, but I'm not going to be chasing every variant- I want to wait 'til they're all out, then choose one fave from the bunch....and maybe get a second for a custom paint-up...

I will definitely be there! I've met with Jim Woodring a few times now (he lives in Seattle) and he is a very nice, unassuming person. Should be a good time.
And the colorways should be there. I talked to the shop owner & he said they were being rushed over from China. Ohh, they will be stanky!

These will just be early releases of these colorways, right? I may not be able to make it to the show, so I'm hoping they will be available to the general public at some point.

I understand completely. However, I really like the red one... so I've already ordered.

I love Mr. Bumper, but I think I may want only one of my favorite color variant, whichever that may be. If anyone can post pics of color variants other than the standard version, please do so.

Pic of one of the other colorways & pre-order info now up here:
http://store.jimwoodring.com/
I think I like the yellow body version better than the standard...I still want to see the others before buying, tho....actually, the more I look at the two together, the more I wish they had each other's cowls...I think the mint-green-bodied Bumper would look really nice with that green cowl...

Master Woodring has posted pictures of two colorways that I'm guessing will be the standard versions:

The thing is, what is being sold in Seattle tonight? These two, or two others?

The signing's tomorrow. I'll try calling OKOK today to see if they'll reveal what the colors will be (they're not open yet).

So, I called OKOK and they were very tightlipped about tomorrow. They will not reveal what colors the variants are going to be. They only said that they are 'limited releases'. They also don't know how many they're going to get of each (since they haven't gotten them yet), though they're guessing it will be about 12 of each of the variants, and 25 of the red.
My guess is that these colors are going to be the same as what will eventually be the limited general releases. So I'm thinking one will be the yellow frog with green cowl like in Jim's photo. But I haven't seen any other colorways, so I don't know what the other one might be.

I ended up getting the black/purple colorway. There was also the regular w/ the red cowl and the yellow w/ green(? I think). The last two are shown on Jim Woodring's online store at his website. Sorry for the crappy photo's -I need a new camera but I spend all my disposable cash on vinyl.

So so jealous that you West coast types get to meet Jim.
I love his work....
Gotta be content with his red Mr. Bumper and his Frank figures....

+1!
Unless the fourth colorway really blows me outta the water, black and purple is what I'll be on the hunt for...beautiful.
Biff, is the little spouting flame on the black actually cast in semi-translucent vinyl? It sorta looks to be so, in the first pic....
