Why doesn't paypal accept Gift Cards!!!

 Why doesn't paypal accept Gift Cards!!! It really sucks. I have 250.00 in American Express Gift Cards and cannot use it as a form of payment from my paypal account. Does anyone want to trade paypal money for some Amex Gift Card Money???

i know from working at a web store, that we couldn't accept visa or amex gift cards because there was no recoursive action if there was a problem with the payment or a return needed to be done.
paypal probably won't take them for this same reason. If the item is lost & they need to reimburse you, they cannot refund to a gift card. Or if it is stolen, etc...they can't cover themselves for losses.
not to mention its an unsecure payment method for them. There is no verification that can occur with a gift card. good luck.

Check the web-site in the back of the card. Usually, if you register them online with your name and address, they'll let you use them for online purchases.

I registered the card but paypal will not accept gift cards as additional funding. Oh well.
At least I can purchase from some online stores.
