Post ebay question
Hi,
May I ask why the bidders name cannot be seen on ebay for some particular items.
It only appear "bidder1", "bidder2" instead of username ?

Thx

For this one. You can see the bidder's name

But for this one, you cannot see anything! How do we know it is not shill bidded by the seller ?

There was another one for a Bemon i believe that all the names were hidden-Gotta be either the seller wants them masked or 3 bidders want them hidden-lol-I'd have to assume if you do enough business w/Ebay they'll do whatever you want them to do..

ebay have started a new system to help prevent people contacting losing bidders after an auction and offering the item to them.
The greed factor really kicked in for ebay and they must of figured that they lose $'s in revenue when this happens, so its just a preventative measure to stop this happening.

As the internet evolves, eBay continues to strike a balance between preserving transparency and protecting our Community of members. eBay has decided to change how bid history information is displayed so bad guys cannot target bidders with fake offers using this information. In certain cases, some bidders will no longer be able to view Bidder User IDs on the Bid History page. Your User ID will be shown only to you and the seller of the item you're bidding on. Other members will see an anonymous name, such as Bidder 1, applied consistently to the Bid History page

I am not into not seeing who's bidding - and I think ebay make enough money as it is. After having lost hundreds of dollars a few years ago, and getting ZERO help or recompense from ebay, I am of the opinion that anything they do is to guard their revenue, not teh users well being. Besides, shill biidding only boosts their revenue.
