 I just got the BEST phone call at work. Caller: “Uh, Hi. I’m calling for Missy. I don’t know if you remember me, but we met outside the Crown Fried Chicken when you were with your mom. I’m that guy from the Roots.”
Me: no…I don’t think that was me. My mom lives 6 hours away from here, and we have never been to Crown Fried Chicken together.
Caller: …Really???
Me: Really.
Caller: Are you black?...
(long pause--)
Me: no, sir, I’m not.
Caller: Oh, I got the wrong Missy *CLICK*

My theory is that some girl was getting hit on outside of the Crown Fried Chicken (a fine Hood establishment here in philly), and instead of giving her name, gave my card. I work in HR and see dozens of people every day. My card is sitting out front..hahahaha
I love this though.
