Whoa whoa whoa, I wasn't saying fuck you to Wendy's or any of the workers there at all. I was just replying to @foto junkaay 's comment and talking about the only thing I go to Wendy's for. I just thought it's funny that I'm the joke of our local Wendy's. The workers know me because I make the same silly order every time. Yes, there are some people there that can't speak a drop of English. They get confused by my order. They ask someone else to decipher my order and basically get old "oh it's that girl again, I'll take care of it" by the people who know me. I just thought it was a funny anecdote, that's all. Absolutely no complaints here. I'm not sure where you got that from.

And of course topics jump everywhere, this is the F-U thread. Everyone is throwing their crap into the bin, and people like to respond to everything in the bin, usually in one post. Seriously, chill.

And I'm pretty sure Greg got Wendy's to dognap his dog so they could squeeze its anal glands to make pomegranate vinaigrette, then got the dog back only to find out that its anal sacs were now devoid of any sweet dressing, and therefore had to go all the way to Japan to flip toys to feed his vinaigrette cravings. THERE.

 

I love pomegranate but it has to be actual pomegranate which I kind of doubt Wendy's uses. Sucks that the nearly 10 year lawsuit that Pom filed against Coke was tossed out by a jury recently. The supreme court was fine with the suit in which Pom was alleging false advertising against minute-maid(coke owned)because their "Pomegranate Blueberry juice" was found to have less then HALF OF A PERCENT of juice from those two fruits combined. That is 99.5% of pom/blueberry juice being something besides pom/blueberry. The case had merit and went through the court system for many years until it reached a jury of idiots who use coke products to brush their teeth and wash their babies.

Fuck all you non-juice juices for not being real juice.

And thank you Pom for trying to hold a gigantic company accountable for what they lie about putting in people's bodies.

 

How the heck can you call something "Pomegranate Blueberry Juice" and have it be 99.5% something else?! I... I don't understand.

That being said, even though it isn't juice, (it's more of a cocktail? drink? something?) I'm addicted to Newman's Own Mango Tango. Our supermarket once ran out of it, so I said hey, Minute Maid's mango drink can't be THAT different, right?
WRONG.
You know when you smell the mangoes in the produce section? It's the smell of mango skin, some chemical smell from what ever they use to wash/seal/preserve them, and a bit of rot.
That's exactly what it tasted like. It tasted like I was licking an unpeeled mango from the produce section. I'm convinced they just grind up a bunch of otherwise unsellable mangoes and make "juice" out of it, because that shit doesn't taste right.

These things are fucking rigged!

They have an internal program that allows the owners to decide how often the claw itself works at full strength and how long the claw actually squeezes the prize. So using a simple phone app they can decide if you get a fair shot once every 10 or 20 or 30 attempts. All the other attempts don't squeeze hard enough to lift a prize or they make them not squeeze hard long enough to get a prize to the exit area. Which turns a seemingly skill based game into nothing but a program deciding when you've spent enough money to be given a prize.

I watched a whole documentary on that! They rig it to what they feel the cost of the toy is and once they get that amount, the tighten the grip. So crazy!

 

^These have always been rigged, for decades...guessing you folks are more commenting on the exact mechanism of said rigging?

I remember my mother telling me they were rigged when I was 4 years old, and just left them alone ever since.

 

I'm pretty good at playing this one claw machine at the Middletown, Delaware Friendly's... But it's filled with cheap Chinese-made rubber ducks.
