Netflix had the best weekend for me in a while. Maniac and Hilda are 2 completely different shows, for even more different audiences, but I am loving both and trying to keep myself from binge watching. If you have kids, or love fun animation, I can't recommend Hilda enough.
If you haven’t already, check out Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan show on Amazon Prime video. It features John Krasinski (Jim from The Office) and it’s pretty awesome. It definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat, you’ve been plowing through the first season and it’s really good. I’m surprised that no one‘s mentioned it yet, maybe because it’s not on Netflix.. lol. Here’s the link: https://goo.gl/hGXwrT Has anyone else watched it yet?
Finished Maniac last night. Really enjoyed it. Reminded me a bit of Legion, which I've really been missing - I need to find a way to watch S2.
Oh THIS is what we’re watching?! Ha, I was so close to watching this at breakfast. Glad I didn’t betray our club’s motto. ... now we just need a motto.
Agreed. I was a little worried for a while there that Macon wasn't going to show up for the party, though!
I was actually surprised when he did pop up. I was getting so discombobulated by the turns of events I wasn't really even thinking about him.
Anybody else having a look at The Haunting of Hill House? Just checked out the first episode and I think that's about as far as I'll go with the series.
One of my most loathed modern tropes is gaped-moth ghosties, but other than that, I'm digging the creepiness of the show. Plus it's fun trying to spot all the hidden ghosts, which admittedly I've only managed to do with the first episode.
I wanna punch whoever started that shit. And Flanagan has used it previously, much to my chagrin. I guess I just don't get it, or why it's supposed to be scary. Have their jaw simply drop off, that's way creepier to me.
Anyone watched Apostle yet? Directed by Gareth Evans of the Raid and Raid 2 fame. I plan on watching it tonight, it should be pretty brutal. I also started The Haunting of Hill House and I'm having a hard time getting into it but I will give it another go.
Apostle is on tomorrow night's plan. I finally watched The Ritual. I enjoyed it. The banter between the friends in the first half seemed convincing enough that they were friends. It's those little things. Plus, points for the monster design.
You know what, I didn't even think about it coming from those Japanese Ghost Movies, but I think you're right.
