those are hilarious, jim! are they painted? the backgrounds look suspiciously watercolored...

 

Cel Vinyl on wood panel. It is pretty opaque so you can use it like gauche or you can water it down to a water color consistency

 

The first canvas panel in a series based on rotulos (mexican hand painted signage or advertising) and kaiju. more to come.

Just finished the 2nd in the Rotulo series: Mofles Hedorah.
