I'll do my best to get more as the day goes tomorrow, if I can manage the time! For now: Paul Kaiju - Spoiler Uh - Oh Toys - Spoiler Headlock Studio/Maruhachi Gangu - Spoiler
^^ Skullbrain at its best, lesser mortals unable to attend, living vicariously through excellent photos As always @xSuicide Squadx your photography is much appreciated.
Killer prices on those PK! And I need a painted mini lil Frankie Also, anyone want to grab me a M1GO trike?
The Trikes went FAST; I think only the Tako dude was left yesterday. M1 has a 3 toy per person policy at this show; I'm not sure if that is per day or not. I was able to snag both the Matango (female) and Hedorah trikes and a Nakajima Godzilla for myself but the line was fast and strong. I'm really tempted on the gigantic Hedo that they have but I dunno if I can afford it after some pieces I'm going to try for today
D-Con was crowded at certain booths, otherwise it was pretty much easy making our way around. Just gotta hoof it up to where u want to go. I can tell you the first two hours was a blurred frenzy for me and Nate. I didn’t see him for a bit and you could feel the energy die down in about an hour and a half. Nate saw most of our toy friends but since I am burdened with a terrible sense of direction I didn’t really see anybody till the end.
@Nate yeah that was my problem last year, my sense of directions suck and the hall is SO huge. With over 500 vendors I'd be curious to know what the ratio of Sofubi vs Non-Sofubi is, like less than 25%? For those who have never been to Dcon you gotta realize it's not all toy vendors, there's hundreds of sellers varying from handmade soaps to dog collars. I would dodge through aisles of non-vinyl vendors to try and remember where the toy booths are by making a mental note like "turn left at that booth selling tea-towels".
Could someone post a picture of the medicom product sheet? I didn’t even know they were there until I saw a picture of some Shelterbank.
Also this is my score for the day! These alone are grail items worth the trip and meeting the very man himself that made them! I have kept every release I've gotten so far and these will fit in to the family very well.
If anyone is willing to pick me up the MVH Chibis, I would be willing to send you an extra $20 for your trouble. My mule flaked on me.. PayPal is ready!
dcon is over for me i missed out on itokin stuff again and didnt get any of the things i had originally planned except corys stuff but none the less very happy about my score. cant believe i was able to walk up to dennis and purchase a kumon without waiting in line
Any chance some of those Shin Gojis will be available after Dcon? Or will all (4?) colorways be limited runs? I imagine they sold quickly. Very jealous of these Kumon pickups too. Grats to those who got one this weekend!
The one I got was from the Sour Lemon booth and the neapolitan was from Dennis himself right next to it.
the shin i got was previously released at won fest and i dont think they do online sales, as far as i know, but someone may correct me on that. when i went at 12 i think they still had plenty of all 3 colorways maybe someone can mule it for you
If anybody just happens to wind up with two Kumons and then decides later that you only needed one...hit me up.
Friday and Saturday were amazing, with more beautiful work under one roof than you ever get to see. Was great to hang with the artists and friends, and pick up some insane work along the way. Had an awesome time even though I got called in the afternoon and had to leave early. Thanks to everyone.
