Austin and my Tio faced similar circumstances. Both went into remission, began to relive full lives, and it suddenly came back with a vengeance. My Tio was very religious and attributed his strength to his family and his faith, and he fought tooth and nail. Stubborn about it in the best way. Austin never, ever once made it apparent he was sick. At least not on his own volition. Even in the middle of his chemo treatments he went to a Judge show and still piled onto the crowd and sang along with Mike. He also started fronting a band when he became terminal. Never sat still. He was ALWAYS positive and never made focus of his condition. I’ve never seen someone smile in the face of death and continue to be so strong as to always have something to laugh about, and give people something to laugh about. It feels like the entire state of Arizona is in mourning, and it certainly is a little less bright here without his light.
