^^^I've been PMing back and forth with a couple members here and we all got word from Amy last month and we've all been trying not to bug her again under the assumption that her hands must be tied... Maybe we should draw straws for who writes the email!
Its such an original idea. Its really awesome and the character has a great design, but I hope they sell them unpainted or atleast with mixed parts. I think that the painted figures will make the deign loose its feel.
I hope the first release is painted myself, I held off on the Monsters because I don't collect unpainted figures. I'm so damned antsy to get them when he slaps some paint on them! I'd hate to have to wait through an unpainted run for this figure too.
^^^ I'm in the same boat as you, BD. There's been a little self-kicking over the Monsters, as I've come to think they look kinda sharp all naked and proud, but yes - Bring on the paint!
Just got word from Amy --- the WF Ojisan and Karakuri have reached America and she has a message for all of us patient folk: They finally arrived late today - I'm starting on them now! All will go out by tomorrow! Thanks for your patience - sorry they took longer than I anticipated. They looks so amazing in person though! Can't wait for you too see them. Much appreciation for all! Good news.
^^ I like the paint style but prefer those two with other colors. They seem too dark and it doesn't make the sculpt pop. Best of luck to those who are able to get them and like them.
Yes - THESE are awesome - so much time must have gone into painting these things - I dont think Luke did too many...
I know it's a oneie (a oneie I like!) but I post it to say once again that a set of painted Monsters is high on my list of toys I wish to exist.
Nice pickup, saw this in person at the Red Hot Robot Show last weekend.. Second best custom there imo
