These Grody Centipedes may not be everyone's cup of tea. I'm not even sure they are not just a case of Luke having fun with no intent to sell them... But I'd like one for my collection.
I think it would cost too much time to sell at a low price and Luke could potentially loose money for doing so. It'd be cool to find one of these randomly inserted in boxes of lulubell goods for those who order off the site though.
I hear ya. At Design Festa Luke had a bunch of uncut heads, and some people were sitting on the floor and doing a little handpainting on then - including Blobpus! (the space smelled quite strongly of v-color ) I think Andy had a picture of Blobpus's painted monster head on his blog - pretty cool. Seemed like fun. Regarding the heating/offgassing - I often warm up vinyl to cut flash and to put parts together, and the smell isn't nearly as bad as when I first get a bag of fresh vinyl from the factory. I think the offgassing chills out pretty quickly once the vinyl sits a bit (not sealed in a plastic bag), and heating (with, say, a blowdryer) in order to soften the vinyl for cutting is no real big deal. (It also cuts like butter once heated - you could probably cut it with scissors) Of course, that's my OPINION. I've only ever been in charge of maintaining safety at a rock climbing gym - never had to deal with chemicals there...
Did not buy any blanks so if they are a varient I hope someone here can manage to float an extra my way.
I am much more interested in the clear, with what look like veins and arteries. With all these releases, it seems like Luke can never manage to stay focused on just one figure (which is a good thing for us). I imagine each time he is working on one, a new idea pops into his head and he runs with that inspiration. You have to admire his creativity, even if Grody isn't your thing.
Silver and gold! Shall we see some Christmas colored Grody soon? And clear with stuffing Monsters too!
