I was thinking about a white tiger. But now that miracleman mentions it, a black panther would be awesome!
Felt the same way. Been a minute since I've won anything from Headlock. Glad I was able to grab the Bone Kun from Creature Bazaar though.
Every word I’ve already gushed about Tibeo before its release has now lived up to every expectation with said release in hand. So no more babble from me. Spoiler
Like of all the monsters and horror, MVH etc, I find this sculpt so strangely unnerving in a good way. I’ve been readin Neil Gaimans cinnamon to my daughter and it feels like that character
@ungawa222 Thanks so much, Mike! This is definitely a cool as shit toy, and it’s rad to see Headlock change it up from the Kustom Monsters! That being said... My red/GID Bone Head finally made the trek after a three week waiting period! And not only was the Bone Head inside, but also a mint, “zombie” mini Knuckle Kun commemorating Knuckle - San’s 50th birthday! Much to my surprise, thanks, and subsequent gasp, my “edition” card inside reads 00/50 and the header is signed with a lil’ fly illustration. The head of...Bone Head is GID vinyl, while the bones on the body are actually painted in GID paint over the red vinyl base. Fantastic pair. It’s been a great week for the mail. Spoiler
Kill in’ me with these snaps, Robert! If I wasn’t up to my gills in long-time wants I’d definitely be trying to get in on this Tiger party!
@rattanicus I’m just a homicidal cameraman! Headlock toys are equally fun to shoot as they are to collect. The Tibeo presents a nice challenge of angles and capturing certain aspects and details. All fours toys have a very unconventional presentation.
And just like that, Ken - San smashes us in the face with this cool as shit reveal. An unnamed werewolf biker. View this post on Instagram
Yus, I could see something of a Creature From the Black Lagoon teaser in a previous post. My favorite Universal movie monster!
Next release preview! Ken - San’s caption reads “Next month?” More GID Headlock!!! View this post on Instagram
flame me if you want but i have the newbie question...from looking at this stuff is it all made in china? is headlock a chinese or japanese based maker? i'm not trying to start some shit on whether it matters or not just curious.
@devilboy Headlock Studio owner and operator Ken Joho is born and raised out of Nagoya, Japan! Knuckle, of Little Chop Design, the majority sculptor of Headlock’s projects with other artists, is also out of Nagoya. He’s also an original designer to a lot of figures like the 2002 Sick Boy Billy and Spumpkin, and currently the Kustom Monsters line. Artists that Ken works with to make their art into toys, like Washio Tomoyuki, Spanky and Johnny Akihito, are also from Nagoya. As far as the toys, I’ve so far only seen one version of Spanky Kun that’s produced in Japan. Everything else Headlock has produced, since 2001, has been done out of China.
Dude, your photos Look SOOO good! Stop making Me buy more toys My Headlock collection should be a slow process - ha
@D-.No Thanks, dude! What a compliment! I can readily say, unabashedly, that I do go out of my way to stay current with Headlock releases. Responsibly, of course. I've yet to put a single bill or financial responsibility on the back burner for any toy release.
