I really love the classic blue color way! This time also sold at Osaka toy shop. Some people is going to buy and resale.
It seems to me that most of the Classic Kumon colors that are being flipped are from the first sale that was made at the Astrozombies store in Osaka, but it is still sad to see them now on sale in the second market. I think it has been one of the most interesting colors Shirahama toy has produced especially for the Godzilla lovers, but it is already common in many pieces that there are people who buy them only to resell them.
Bloody flipping wankers. They really kill the market, making sofubi so costly for us. I am glad i won the Kumon but the speed of resale is getting a bit out of hand. Before the toy was even sent out!
I didn't get any of the new stuff ether. Ill keep holding out on the chance of one day getting a new one to add to my collection.
I think the majority of those you’re seeing flipped were the ones sold to Japan only through Astrozombies. Still, it’s ridiculous. No way to stop it unfortunately. I’d put money that they probably aren’t people on the boards.
A good few seem to be flipped from the initial sale in Japan, for the record. Anyone posting their own pics must have it in-hand already. I remember seeing one on YJA before online lotto winners were notified. Edit: apparently I can't read, this has already been said
So depressing to read about the insanity of the new colorway being flipped. I don't have any kumons yet but it's a character I think is really rad and I'd love to have one some day. But it just seems to be a magnet for hype beasts. I wonder what it is about certain sculpts and characters that make them such potent flipper bait.
A couple of the WF releases passed through Mandarake even within a day of the event. One alone would have been disappointing. But then thing is - as with all hyped toys in this hobby - people will pay those gouged prices. So as long as that keeps happening, it won't stop being attractive to insta-flippers. The rest of us without those deep pockets just have to sit on the sidelines and keep on crossing the fingers. I've made my peace with that, but it is still frustrating of course. Ultimately though I am just so grateful for Dennis' work and amazing output. He's contributed so much even beyond his own lines. Big thank you to the man for his continued efforts.
Very happy to see these Kumons landing with deserving people, and especially so in deserving Goji-paired families! Damn Mark, other Mark is not kidding, the paint on that double-stamped Marusan is a stunner. It is light he is wearing a silver bodysuit (or maybe he got blue sunburn on his head when he was swimming, and the rest of his body wasn't exposed? Lovely photos guys.
Yeah its been a super disappointing year for me with no kumon yet It seems as though the hype has finally caught up to OG collectors. Inevitable but crushing. I'm still hoping for a shop drop before the year's over so it won't be a no hitter. I've gotten to appreciate the awesome collection I have but it really sucks to have so many losses just as Dennis starts cranking out painted runs again Congrats to those who've scored some on the board! I'm hoping more people have scored here and just not posted. Where are all these glorious kumons ending up? Hopefully more are going into solid collections than ebay and shady side deals!
