Spoiler Foreshadowing minutes before the disintegration. Thanos rewinded time to yank the mind stone out of visions head. The gauntlet will change hands, and everything will be rewound as it was. Black Panther 2 is scheduled, and there is no way you are killing Spiderman when they just rebooted him for the 18th time? lol.
Spoiler well, if they stick with the comic books, warlock will play a huge part in bringing everything back to normal. i was really surprised he didn’t make an appearance in the post credits.
Originally it was titled Avengers infinity war part 1 and part 2 and I'm glad they got rid of that moniker. That being said it was a great movie but come on they've mapped this shit out for the next few years. It's not like Empire and pre internet. I enjoyed it but even my 9 year old was like.."I can't wait to watch the next spiderman."
I still haven't seen Spiderman: Homecoming, Infinity War or Deadpool 2. I feel terribly guilty. Thor Ragnarok was amazing though. Also just rewatched Doctor Strange this weekend and man that movie is just a trip.
That's the way I figured it'd go . . . but that would be as lame as the 'It was all just a dream' scenario!
So without getting into spoilers, any thoughts yet on Endgame? No major surprises for me, but nevertheless quite an enjoyable experience. I would like to say that after 11 years living with this CU, thank you Marvel for this delightful ride.
I don't get the point of having Captain Marvel introduced as 21st movie to have such a small part on thé 22nd movie... I read Infinity Gauntlet when i was 17 or 18 years old, i am suite desappointed about the whole Infinity Wars/endgame storie though...
Without any spoilers I would rank Infinity War at the top still, than both Deadpool movies would be in the middle and Endgame would be bellow that. My problem with Endgame being the inconsistency in plot especially between the middle and end. I honestly think the movie would have been more interesting if they kept it more in line with the Adam Warlock plot but that's to hard for them to manage I guess. I would have gone and seen Captain Marvel if Brie Larsen would have kept her politics out of the movie and interviews prior to it's release but she couldn't so it was an easy skip for me.
Doom Patrol looks great! Would love to see it eventually. Looking forward to that new Joker movie though! He's got that classic mix of the old Batman TV series look with a little bit of The Dark Knight going on.
I'm 6 episodes into DP and have to say that, much to my surprise, it's only been pissing me off 15% of the time. Add me to the list of those that are recommending a watch, but I'd be much happier if you, whoever you are, have read through Morrison's run first; I worry that ingesting one before the other would weaken the impact of the primary source. Spend a little time with Drake and Premiani first, too if you can manage it. Heard word that the powers that be forced the ST production to wrap things up 5 episodes early. Not a good sign, but I imagine it has more to do with subscription numbers than content quality. Glerb. Those Russo brothers sure know how to make a compelling TV show; a very enjoyable 3 episode season finale I watched the other night. Boo on me, though - here I am crowing about doing your reading before the DC show and I've never even scanned a page of Marvel's Gauntlet Adventures.
I enjoyed it immensely, and I felt it gave the actors who have decided not to return a fine send off. I can't wait to see it again
I watched it in true IMAX last night at like 11 pm so I definitely need to watch it again because the big battle got overwhelming real quick as I was dozing off from the first half
Thoroughly enjoyed it! Was pleasantly surprised with how they spun it and didn't feel as long as it was. Also... Spoiler BEER BELLY THOR
Spoiler I really feel like Thor stole the show. The fact that he got fat was hilarious but the fat suit was really unconvincing so I was a little disappointed with that. That said, I feel like I could watch an entire series of Thor and Miek just chillin in New Asgard drinkin beers and playing videogames
I caught it this morning at the DolbyVision theater, and it looked goddamned good. I have to say the pacing was well done, it never 'felt' like a 3 hour film. I stayed spoiler free, so there were surprises that I didn't expect and pretty much everything I was hoping for was in there. I'm looking forward to Spider-Man in July, but I'm not sure what are the next films scheduled after that. I thought it was wild that The Eternals and Shang Chi are up for films now. I'm looking forward to seeing those, especially Shang Chi since Iron Fist was pretty terrible. Spoiler I guess the Black Widow movie will be a prequel then.
It really felt like a love letter to both the fans and the actors themselves. I've seen pretty much all the Marvel movies and I only really loved maybe 3 or 4 out of the 20 plus movies in the series. Liked lots of them though. Endgame easily tied for my favorite along with the last Thor movie. It didn't seem long at all really. I know there is a huge corporate entity behind it all and it's the biggest movie ever made but they somehow still find a way to make it seem personal and even touching in lots of ways. Spending my childhood reading comics and watching Spider-Man and friends and The Hulk tv show made the whole MCU feel even more special I think. Endgame really felt like the end. Not sure what comes next and I'm not even sure I really care. I am a totally satisfied fan right now. Sad to see it over but happy that it all happened. Spoiler When Cap started using Thor's hammer I seriously lost my shit!
I liked Deadly Class. My only gripe was Bad Religion not making the soundtrack one single time despite seeing the Crossbuster countless times. I'm watching Doom Patrol, but I'm pretty sure I don't like it. Will finish the season at least though.
