^^ see, I thought the first ones were boring. I do have the brown guy but I think this paint app is so much better on this one. I actually thought the first mini gorilla looked so terrible (sculpt and paint) but now I kinda like him with this version.
I like all three. This color Dorako beats the OG version IMO. Apes, well I'll buy just about anything simian. I like the original brown ones but the new yellow will look really great right next to the older versions. Kind of like night and day. Hopefully these won't be showing up for a little bit, at least not till next week so I can breath financially.
After all the brown vinyl I find these refreshing. The micros do lose some detail with the orange and yellow vinyls but I wonder if that is the final product. On the other hand, we don't see that many unpainted buta no hana so, I'm in. I guess painting 24 different sculpts would take him ages, especially with that size. And the other three toys? I agree, they are amazing, the two gorillas look amazing, much beter than the brown ones IMO. And even when I've never seen an OG Dorako in person, I like this version more. Death to those wallets!
Anyone else thinking the orange micros look semi-transparent? This would make a nice change. Now just need some more GID too...
Sometimes Butanohana reissue earlier releases, this is an older release Seabozu that was included in the recent batch. I quite like this guy but i haven't been able to score him yet.
I confess, very intriguing. Can't as yet identify the figure (though with Buta the possibilities are near endless) but the vinyl seems to transition from green to red, however there are two separate figures (one of each colour) teasing us in the blurred background. Very excited for a brand new Buta sculpt
A new sculpt would be lovely, but I would shed no tears if the duo are color coded Pigmon and Garamon brothers.
Mr Ohashi can do no wrong. I've been thinking about my growing Buta collection and trying to pick a favourite is so much harder than picking favourites within other toy lines i collect, i really love them all. One day its Keronia the next its Gigas today it's Gomora. Anyone out there have a definite favourite?
^^^ I don't have a whole lot of hands-on exposure to Our Man Ohashi's toys, as the only seven I've ever held are the seven I actually have, but among them Gomora is the clear winner. As far as the dozens I only know from fantasizing over photos, Keronia is tops for me, followed *v e r y* closely by Seabozu. It's a sad truth that I think about that elusive duo daily
some nice photos of the new minis here - http://d.hatena.ne.jp/kjaerholm/20110906/p1 - and the poster - would love to have this!!!
Tried to answer this in my head and just started listing them all! All so good it's hard to choose but my Kong, Gigasus, Gojis and Keronias are at the top
First clear shot of those minis, and a decent assortment too. Thanks for posting this. Did anyone manage to go all out and pick up the whole set? Surprising for all the Buta love on this board, no one has yet shared any of their micros (but probably this is just 'cause they may not have received 'em yet, I dunno).
I didn't go for any as would've preferred painted versions. May go after a few sets at some point now I've seen better photos...
I think one of the new pics is a Pigmon actually. I had a look at the mini pics. Makes me still want a full size (well mid size) Butanohana Zazahn, and we can add Shugaron to that list also!
I'm thinking Pigmon and Garamon too: sculpt looks like it; as well as the color choices. Regular size Butanohana Zazahn is my number one Buta dream! Maybe with the mini, we are one step closer to the dream becoming a reality?
Those two figures on the back, one seems considerably smaller that the other. It's a very nice teaser!!! From the two front ones, the one on the right looks like the back of the head of Woo, not Butanohana's Woo though...
It's definitely a tough one. My choices also change from day to day. Hour to hour even. Hmmm, probably Woo, Mefilas, and Thunder Mask. Oh, and one that I don't own, but hope to someday, the illusive and rare Oodako.
Wow I see Dungar, Shugaron, Sadolar in that poster...nice little assortment. Too small and too unpainted for me but good characters.
I think theyll be so great infront of a bunch of regular sized butas. Kindof to round it out. I'm so anxious to get these. I'm gonna sit in the pile and throw em in the air like someone with a bunch of money might do.
