Six of one, I think; the beastie goes by both names. Unless they changed his name between Jack and Ultra Fight... Anyone know?
Are they the same? But, the katakana is Astron. I'm gonna try to find out more about this Earthtron mystery, I am intrigued.
^^^ Let us know your findings! I'm guessing it's some sort of root term translation vs. phonetics type of deal. Looks like Chibull boy spent too long in the bath water! I was kind of hoping for a Gara-colored Pigmon reissue. It is not to be.
So this looks like a whole different sculpt to me, we might be lucky enough to get a Pigmon/Garamon duo. Could be that the earlier shot is of the head though; which it looks like this guy has had his attached already. The 'spiky-ness' definitely seems of a different calibre though. I am loving that purple vinyl.
I'm probobally wrong, but if I was a betting man I would say it was Takkong and Zazahn.. The second one has a Takkong vibe, with the circles and holes on the back, and the first one has the seaweed thing going on... their both the right colors as well...
That is fantastic! Great update to the sculpt. I'm still sticking to my original guess that he'll be doing a Garamon and a Pigmon since the first teaser pic showed a green and a red.
Please pardon my non-Buta-aficionado-ness (aficionadocity?), but where are these pics from? I just scoured the Buta site… Any info on release date, as well? The face is so well done on this guy... I love it when a sculpt is soft/cute but still achieves good evocation of a character's essence.
Ungawa - This figure is right up your alley! The pics are on the Buta blog: HERE. Fingers crossed for a first release in pink. It's been too long and I need me some more pink Buta!
this is pretty much the most exciting buta-news i've heard all year. here's hoping for a non-brown garamon
Couldn't be much happier from that teaser, the original Butanohana Pigmon is a grail for me so scoring one of these is definitely the next best thing.
I have a feeling this will be one of the hardest Buta releases to score... This will definitely be something I religiously try to get... Uhhh, I uhh, I mean, it's not that great, right?
I don't think it will be that hard to score. Butanohana is aware of the popularity and usually makes many more than he use to. I have to admit I like the original Buta Pigmon better than this one for the simplicity of the sculpt, but we'll see once it's painted.
