^ - Says so right up there, Zack!

That strutting kitty's only appearance anywhere (until Oohashi-san sculpted him up) was in a single episode of Chibira-Kun.

Hope you can find many other character curios we can put on the collective wish list to be Buta-sculpts!

^ I think that I'm going to stick to just posting images of the guest-stars that Oohashi-san has already gotten around to producing for now, seeing as how decent captures are only out there for a couple of them, but believe me, there's plenty more material for him to mine in the coming years!

^^ Good thinking D! ;) But maybe you(?) could start a thread in "whatever" for more comprehensive Chibirakun coverage? 8)

I think the new guys (well these two) are a bit softer than most previous toys. The head/hood of Zarab pops off very easily when you rotate it.

^^^ That almost seems appropriate, considering his head is all but floating off of him on the show:

Not having one in hand, I can't speak the the softness of the vinyl, but it's probably more a matter of the join-point being more ovoid than circular. He is articulated mid-shoulder, after all.

^ Very true, but the softness makes the joint turn. If the vinyl was harder I expect it would be impossible. I have to say that as it has only one point of articulation, the play-ability is limited; I re-bagged mine and prefer it so. 8)

Oh yeah the "new" Zazahns... Sold out, so maybe it's time to put them up here so they're not forgotten.

Aghira, or variations on him, appeared three times during the run of Chibira-Kun.

The first time he showed up was as an unnamed beastie in the middle of a particularly trippy adventure:

The second time that Aghira shows up is clearly what Mr. Oohashi wanted us to think of when we look at his toy:
It's a brand new look for our favorite collapsible dino, and he gets plenty of screen time to show it off in this one.

Aghira's third and final appearance on Chibira-Kun appears to have been on his day off from UltraFight, what with all the polka dots.

We get an UltraFight twofer this time, actually, as the baggiest looking Eleking of all time is hanging around, too:

Well, that covers the guest stars that Our Man Buta has sculpted for us so far, but I should probably do a little bit on Oku and Tutor. They're not in nearly every single episode, but they sure do turn up plenty.

Great but can we move these to their own thread, instead of completely overwhelming the "New Butanohana" thread?

^ I don't completely disagree, but what's one page among dozens? How many different Buta threads do we need? It's not like the posts would make sense in Mo' Buta, and all of them are, at heart, about toys from the maker.

Well the posts are video captures of a show, albeit one Butanohana chooses to use for some of his toys but he's not the only person ever to make them into toys. Perhaps you can see where if someone were clicking on this thread via a mobile device, such as the ipad I'm using now, the page takes forever to load due to the amount of pictures. Not trying to quell your passion for source material, just I get mislead into thinking some new Butanohana toy info has surfaced.

The thread was started specifically for new Butanohana toy discussion years ago, as the database thread was made to compile all the toys in one post. Jared 's Mo' Buta thread was started to capture pics of the toys as most threads are in the "Show Your Collection" forum. I highly encourage a thread for source material.

Again, I don't entirely disagree with your points, Chris, but I want to clarify something for you: The only time that any of the characters I covered but one were made into a toy it was by Buta. They're the only ones that exist by anybody, anywhere. Aghira, for what it's worth, was licensed from, sculpted and painted to reflect his appearance on Chibira-Kun.

I would like for there to be a thread or two more about source material here, sure, but I still don't see any problem with posting about a maker's passion project in a thread dedicated to his toys.

Brace yourself, this page is going to have to host two more posts similar to the ones on page 56 soon. I'll talk to James about some solutions once I've finished the project.
