I had one of those original Max Toy Kikaida figures, and when you twisted the leg it just popped out of the socket. Glad Max Toy has switched over to Japanese vinyl.
What's funny is that I heard those clear Kikaida's were among their *better* releases. I believe they were actually slush cast in order to get the crystal clear effect (glossy texture, as opposed to the porous texture typical of rotocasting). One of my GID Xam's foot broke right off. A little epoxy and it was fine...not like those ankle joints were even necessary...but still a troubling thing to happen to your toy.
Question for the old-timers: was there ever an unpainted red Capt. Maxx sold or distributed in any way? There were unpainted black and GID Maxx. But I've never seen an unpainted red.
Are you talking the old soft vinyl (China) Maxx or the newer Frenzy sculpts. I know there was one of the newer sculpts in unpainted red.
Got the unpainted Flytrap from Lulubell today and I have to say, it is looking really cool. I wish I had also gotten the Cobra but the pre-order was gone. I'd love to paint this Flyguy that I got but I probably won't.
The Spider-Man Kumo Ningen is up, but I just don't feel this one like the other Dream Rocket Kaijin. It may just be the color way.
I really want to like this guy. The color way and body are great. I'm incredibly disappointed with the head sculpt. It just doesn't really look like a spider to me.
HA! It does look like it has a tie on. "It's my business tie, and I'm in the business of eating your face."
Fantastic. Can't wait to see what is left for open sale. I love the picture Mark painted for the event, and Jay222's frame is killer.
So this might be old news, but I spotted a few Max Toys in the music video for Fireflies - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psuRGfAaju4 Apologies if this has already been brought up. Pretty interesting though.
Great mechanical detailing on those tanks by TTToy. At first, I didn't realize that they were the base for the Negora tanks... I almost prefer them as a standalone vehicle.
mark nagata brought a bright red prototype with him to toy karma, which was a treat. it was equal parts wh40k and metal slug. turrets are also swappable with the micro and mini eyezons, too, not just negoras, in case that hasn't been posted yet. mark wasn't sure about the neo-eyezons. i would like to see a few variations in mechanical parts to swap out for the turrets. there's so much potential for fun with this toy. i just noticed that the ammo box (?) on the back resembles a flash hot shoe
Yeah I did and here is what I got everything was pretty standard through out the bags but the only alternate things people would have gotten is either a white eyezon in place of the orange or a diffrent mini print
