Someone on Kaz's BBS made the interesting observation that the Akro's colors resemble Aflodai/Aphrodite A. Kirkland beat him to the Garada Evil.
I dig the Akro. I can pass on the others. hmmm...I don't see the Aflodai so much in Akro (she had a lot of gold/yellow) but either way it's a pretty cool colorway.
If Mori drops a mutant Evil/Head set like this fortune cat, I'm going to have a heart attack... ...if I actually score a set, I would've died and gone to heaven.
I can't help but hope that Mori's choice to do the Fortune kid (prayer stance) in this color scheme is a subtle hint that our prayers for the Evil/Head set are about to be answered.
Not really but I guess you could force one by noting that Semi-Ningen sometimes wears skinny ties. The punk sensibility connection gets discussed a lot around here. Actually come to think of it there have been some J-vinyl toys that were done in ska tribute two-tone colorways.
If the powder blue to clear set gets made I will probably break my rule and attempt to buy them. The sculpts aren't my favorite, but the paint job on them is to die for! Doesn't quite translate on that cat though.
Might be nice to go with the recent Bigaro and Head. Need to see a production figure (not paint sample) first, though, to see how these turned out. I hope Mori stops having the factory painter mask the head spots. It's really detracting from some otherwise excellent designs.
