Bwana's painting some Otus' to be released Friday!
I dont know what he's gonna do, but you know it's gonna be awesome!
@evom you're right they are all Awesome. Great job Bwana!
Beautiful, each of them. If the lucky owner of A or B decides they don't want it in-hand, you know which slow typist to message
@Fig Belly NAILED it. ❤️
You’re a Lucky Man!
Bwana killed it so hard on these. I'm still finding hidden details.
Next collab will be Grumble Toy, probably at DCON.
And next weekend will be a new painted version from myself.
I'll announce the lotto details in advance on IG and here.
The Bwana one offs were all excellent, definitely a hard choice, very excited to take some pictures of mine this weekend. Also excited for the gray too, can't wait to see them painted!
I missed the Bwana drop but your next painted run looks tight as Hell and quite possibly my favorite that I've seen so far
I must have missed any sneak peeks, but happy to know I've got reason to be excited
Lottery for the new Otus is now open!!
All info for entering is in the IG post.
Hope you guys dig it.
Dude, this version is blowing my mind! You absolutely crushed this.
Wax is done for my new guy! Everything should be finished up pretty soon.
I won't be showing anything until it's fully painted and ready for sale though...
Sorry if that's annoying.
Similar standard size? Giant Buta Spaceman size? Middle? Mini? Micro? Give us details!!!
@Russblue11 Heh! ok.
It's about 4" or so tall, with 3 points of articulation (head and arms).
psyched for the reveal.
Great news, Brent! I appreciate you not wanting to share any WIP pics, until the final product is revealed (as much as I love that green wax!). Excited to see a mini in the Otus line, or even a spaceman sidekick.
Since what you described sounds awfully similar to Buta standard size, I'm going to be wondering about the new guy until it shows up but I respect your wanting to reveal it when there's a toy ready to go. There's something magical about seeing a new sculpt pop into life complete and painted.
Sounds like a fight figure!
Took the new release out for a spin. I went and lost his blaster/peaceful scanning instrument while moving him around on the sidewalk, but a kind stranger helped me look for it. So no Otus was harmed in the making of these. Thank goodness for editing apps that let me bring out the elusive lustre of that grey glitter base, and shout out to Brent for his brilliant palette selections and restraint in painting. The variety and cohesion of each release means that every Otus tells his own little story of space-faring misadventure.
^ Well captured, man! Kindly PM me the names of your preferred editing apps, as I really need to get back to compulsive toy photographing, and I'd love that electronical leg up for what I hope to me my triumphant return. Heh.
Truth. He really has been able to pull out a striking variety of looks while maintaining the integrity of his sculpt each time. Ruiners across the land should make a study of his respectful and, yes, restrained approach. Even though it's all of his making, from sketch to sculpt to application, there is never a whisper of ego in sight.
I think this is my favourite pic of this poor soul yet
shot i took of the test paint of Otus from the last run
Sorry for the silence on the new guy.
There were a few defects that needed correcting, so the molds had to be redone.
But!, the first batch of vinyl has been pulled and should be headed my way soon.
I'm hoping to have the first release later this month.
