^^ Haven't, but it sounds like I should. Pretty sure the Charmander Anti caught was the one they give you when you start, so not a true catch/not as devastating a deletion.
I realized that later. I stupidly caught a Bulbasaur first, and i see them all the time. I've yet to come across a Charmander. HAHA. DOH
I figured it must've been a 'freebie' . . . we live out in the sticks and apart from the 3 that dropped in the garden there was literally NOTHING else on the horizon for the full 360!
Went Charmander first, caught Squirtle last Wednesday, and Bulbasaur over the weekend. Was very happy to complete my og trio.
I didn't know anything about it when I DL'd it on launch day-so I just picked Bulbasaur who I like. DOH. haha.
I started with Bulbasaur (cause I'm stupid and didn't see Charmander) but then read about the Pikachu starter so I played for a bit then decided to start over. I'm just missing Squirtle to complete the trio. Also, San Francisco is having a Poke-Crawl tonight along the downtown area. I think I am going to avoid that area tonight...over 6k people say they are doing the crawl.
i hatched my squirtle (weak af) and have been seeing a lot more charmeleons than charmanders. i also hatched a magmar last night (CP 1277 !!!) immediately after i caught a jynx and as soon as the "gotcha" popped up my phone died. and i died. got home an hour later almost and sure enough it saved her!!!!!
That sounds like quite the roller coaster of emotions man haha. Aka, you had a good day of pokemoning!
There's a break point in the code so sometimes, you won't even see the "Gotcha" when it freezes. If it freezes at the right time, you will still get the pokemon. This is usually when my game locks up. It is annoying cause the only fix is to close the game and log in again (only to be met by the blue screen notice of the servers being down).
i havent gotten that screen in a while thank god but this morning the game was acting up hard! wasnt there an update this week?
I FINALLY got my boyfriend to go to Norwalk (the safer of the two cities that flank us) for dinner, and sure enough... SERVER PROBLEMS. We don't get to catch all the wonderful Pokemans there. :[ I try to log in during our entire dinner and the Pokestops won't load, if they did load they wouldn't give items, and just ALL THE THINGS WENT WRONG. I pulled up to work today & saw three of my coworkers in the bushes on the side of the building. I thought they were having a secret meeting to overthrow the overseers, but they were just hunting wild Pokemon.

The Eevee name thing does work! Just evolved a Jolteon! My girlfriend also just pointed out that there was an update yesterday and it looks like it made it so you can see points that are a little further away. Kinda cool.
I've always wondered about the map vision. From my house I can see a Pokéstop a few blocks up my street. I know there's one in between that one and my house, but it doesn't show up.
This is going to be amazing but I'm sure it'll be down almost 98% of the time lol, which is too bad. Just get the tracking working Niantic, this is ridic hah
Ugh, I almost wish I never found Pokevision yesterday. (Saw the link in our county's Team Instinct page on Facebook.) It's 2:40am and there's a Pinsir north of the highway, and guess who doesn't know how to drive?
