this pic rules. Can anybody give me some info on the space dude on the left??... I've been wanting this toy for a while now and I have no idea what it is. Hard to come by?
Yeah, agreed. That guy rules. I love his pulp space age look. I noticed him in Ricky's box of mini goodness the other day, he must know the name.
Something crossed off my wants list (not that anyone checks these days). I scored a mini grail recently and have to share it. I have been hunting this guy for a year or so now, and the one time booschwobe had one up for grabs I missed out. This is just one of those figures that makes me love Marmit so much above other more classic makers, like M1. Such a great sculpt, with so much character. I can totally see this guy fitting right in with giant rubber suited kaiju in some Tsuburaya or Honda film. Now to track down the brown version.
^^^ Totally agree, but I was guilty of underrating it myself until I picked him up again to photograph for the BST. Fell back in love immediately!
Another interesting take on a kaiju that doesn't get near enough recognition - I give you Mongler!!! (possesed by demon version?? ) >> Sure he may seem all cute and cuddly, and who doesn't love a shiny pelt, but those eyes and claws say mess with me and I will be taking you deep into places underground you'll wish you have never seen.
Is that the Lucky Bag Monster Heaven, Steve? Pretty damn wicked. Marmit so loves this beastie they took two passes at him! Not my shots, but here's the ancient VP version - I don't want to sideline too much, but... Marmit did the two standard size, M1 and Toygraph both did minis, and Buta made a mid - Any other Mongler/Mongura toys out there?
Yes, that is the VP version I am looking for actually. I just came across this version in my hunts, and barring my 'ideal' want, I have to settle for what is available. I don't know if it is a lucky bag version or not, but it might be, as I don't think that he came with a header originally. [I have found very little info on this guy at all in fact, except a random photo off a Japanese blog] That being said, if someone has the VP version, and wants a more threatening guy, let's do a swap
Your purple Parababy Megaro-Goji makes me hate you It's one of the Godzilla parababy sculpts I think I'm still missing. Oh well, one day (I'll have them all!).
So someone just gifted me this and whist it's a generous gesture it's way out of my league . . . what kaiju craziness is this?
it's some Marmit Kaiju Big Battle figure Brand:MARMIT Series:Kaiju Tengoku Series - 怪獣天国 シリーズ Artist:Rand Borden name Cycloptopuss?
Tell you what, I'll trade you your Buta Goji for it! You don't even have to throw in any cash to sweeten the deal
Marmit rules because they're the only company to tackle the task of producing Gehara though I wish Bearmodel or Buta would do one, too . . .
Hippy Goji! Great toy, and not a half-bad movie for a modern toku. Didn't Marmit also take a pass at the American Godzilla? I seem to remember that happening, but the lazy hunt I just went on didn't turn up any evidence.
Yup what Slack said, they had that and the Sky Deviler for sale at the Kaiju Big Battel show in New York.
They did - they released a pair of USA Godzilla Parababys packaged together. They never sell very well
