Thank you Daniel! That's only half the buta collection so far! The "small" 3-shelf unit is filled, so i'll have to put the rest with the vintage and Toygraph racers. The gid collection hasn't been opened yet! Thanks too, Michael! Deevis we'll have to "discuss" that one!

p.s. I don't think ikea is selling these cases anymore. At this point I think they are a bad design! The glass door on these cases are held by a tiny hinge. I've had a tall glass door fall out twice when the door was opened! Fortunately, i caught the door the first time. The second time it dropped and hit the floor, but fortunately did not break. My friend is looking into installing window lever gizmos to see if we can fix this awful design fluke!

p.s. @Michael Beverage , the blue blank Hayata was thrown in as an extra, for an auction adoption. I think the set is only the blue Seabozu and painted Hayata ( confirmed on a sold out bagged set on Mandarake)

Such a nice case and well arranged presentation; and to think that's only half! I think that the only phrase I can summon is :

    Wibble!

Brain is sort of boiling here, wonderful collection Grace!

Just some teaser photos of butas laid out for sorting before putting into first case (unbagged for Chris!)

More still lying around on the couch, waiting to be unbagged :)
go to p. 79 to see crappy photo of first batch in case.
p.s. the other reason why buta is so loveable, is that they look like yummy candy, especially when they come in their clear wrappers!:razz::razz:

:lol::lol: That is funny Mark! Butas falling from heaven?
Well believe it or not, it's probably under half so far. I'm missing a whole box somewhere. Can't find my Gryphon, 2 versions of Alien Vira (always thought those looked like a cross between a mealworm and collared lizard), another Eryops, OG TRex, and a few more goodies. So frustrating! :x The living room is a complete mess right now with large bins and boxes all in a state of unpacking. No one can sit on the couch because toys are piled on top  I only have time on the weekends to work on things.

p.s. on a more serious note, I'm trying to take pics of all my toys for insurance purposes. If you have a good homeowner's policy or renter's insurance, you should definitely see if you can insure your collection. First step is documenting clearly, what you have. With the price of buta these days, it's no joke!

p.p.s. Managed to finally adopt all versions of the Pandababs, and they look so cute all in one shelf!

I knew it! Grace, that is a most impressive collection, very inspiring. I think that between you and the Tooth (and 2-3 other boardies) you could actually put together a complete Butanohana show here in the US! (Thinking about that kaiju show a while back at the airport; perhaps a nice gallery in SF?)
    Anyway, so very cool!

...they are so good, you just want to plop them in a stir fry, plate, and eat them! :)

He's the very first Antler version. The next version was the green one.
Here he is in all his glory (can't remember if he's a dupe or not, so he may or may not appear in the "sale", I don't mind dupes!)

Beautiful pic of him up on his aquatic cliff top. I can hear about 5 other people gnashing teeth... it is deafening.

Good observation! :) He's actually standing on top of a piece of fossiliferous sandstone--you can see a cross-section of a gastropod/snail, where his tentacles are touching that squiggly white thing in the rock. All of those curvy "C" shapes, are various fossilized clam shells, peeking through the rock matrix, at various angles (i.e. it's as if you tossed a handful of clam shells into concrete, stir, then took an electric diamond saw, and starting cutting into the block--depending on the angle of cut, you'd see various outlines of the shells exposed. In this case, for mother nature, erosion is the "saw").

p.s. the nice thing about the squiddie, is that it has a touch of silver spray going across the face--just a small spritz. Catches the light very nicely. Mr. O really knows his painting!

Beautiful photos Robert! Nice to see your photography to include Buta! I think you're the only one who can make a baggie look like a magical curtain of translucent light. How do you make those colors pop!

Ok, better pic of the first half of the collection. Still have to organize the second half, and still missing the box with more OG buta (so frustrating).

Thank you, Grace!!! It’s a challenge to get the bagged and headered shots, but I feel the initial presentation is important! I am thankful, lucky and excited to now have some Buta under the photography belt! As far as the colors, I just do my best to represent them as my eyes see them!

I’m really lovin’ the way you have those Buta displayed. Totally rings of the toy shops I’ve seen in Tokyo, where, they pack in as much as possible, without losing what it is you’re seeing. This is spectacular!!!
