I was about to give up on this show but I am glad that I did not. I have enjoyed the last few episodes. Nice to see Rick growing a pair lately. I am going to miss Shane when he leaves. Maybe he can take Lori and Carl with him.
It doesn't look good for Shane, especially when Jon Bernthal might be jumping to Darabont's latest project LA Noir. I realize he's a really polarizing character and either you love him or hate him, but one thing I think everyone can agree on is he keeps the show interesting. I really do like his relationship with Rick. At their core they are best friends and love each other. Unfortunately I think the zombie apocalypse is straining it beyond repair. You never know though, some people are dying (obviously by the end of the season) and he might just make it out. I tell you what I can't wait for- Lori to die. Seriously die, she's just no good to anyone and a complete b*tch. Take Dale and Maggie to the grave with her.
Lori got a sarcastic clap from me when she said she provides "Stability for the men", with those chores. Yeah stability as in: Shane you gotta go, no Shane you need to stay. Stay away from my family, you crushed Carls feelings, wait are you giving me the cold shoulder? All the while pretending she had no part in sleeping with Shane. Yeah she's stable, rock solid.
Seriously, why is no one ever watching over Carl?? He just comes and goes as he pleases...he should be the one tied up...
Wow- mostly a snooze-fest. Way too much soapboxing and then the sheriff can't go through with the execution because Opie walks in on it? Pretty predictable. At least T-Dog gets a chance to speak next week.
I am leaning towards it being freshly torn up by that walker but wouldn't it have made a lot more noise if that were the case ?
How does a slow ass walker that can't even free itself from ankle deep mud take down a full grown cow? And then it guts a man with it's bare hands?! But at least Dale is dead now. Yay.
Seems like lately I was begging for someone to shoot Dale in the face every week...and it finally happened. Now I'm begging for the kid to get gutted like the cow, don't let me down Walking Dead.
Guess I don't have to put spoiler alert since everyone else already said Dale was dead. As much as Dale got on my nerves this season I do feel bad for him. I blame the writers of this show more than anything. They've seemingly dumbed down and pigeonholed every character on this show so as none of them can do anything outside of few morality traits or emotions. Not everything is black and white, but I guess with episodic television you're under time constraints and you could not make this episode "12 Angry Men". My point is Dale had a point, but suddenly everyone in the room is well past it, but as a viewer I didn't know we were quite there yet. One thing I will say is this confirms who the Darabont supporter that asked out of his contract when he (Darabont) was fired but changed his mind: Jeffery Demunn. Has to be. I agreed with everyone else on Carl, what an obnoxious little brat. Tie him up so he doesn't cause more trouble! EDIT- SPOILERS: So based on all three previews for next week I've seen online (and descriptions), Lori the b*tch messes with Shane's mind again (just when he seems to make his peace with Rick, although the stupid writers keep knee jerking him around with mutiny talk), and being Lori is his achilles heels buys into it. I think Shane creates a diversion with allowing Randall to escape so he can go look for him with Rick and lure him into the woods, then we get that whole final conflict, goodbye Shane (twice). Shame really. Dale and Shane 's deaths on the show appear more to be hastily written BECAUSE Demunn wanted off and Bernthal obviously is jumping ship to work with Darabont again. I'm sure they would have died eventually, but Shane's death especially will be sad because essentially Rick has become (or will more an more) just like him in regards to surviving. Shane is always portrayed as the villain but he just realized what it took a lot sooner.
spoiler alert if you have not seen last episode. How could they have Rick kill Shane . It should have been Carl, I have been fine with the million other changes they have made but I just don't agree with this one.
Im hoping they are saving TDog for something, because, if after all this time with no character advancement they kill him off it would suck.
i thought the way Rick killed Shane was pretty good. lulled you into thinking he was going to try and patch things up again. fuck that noise. Carl shooting zombie shane was predictable, but whatever. Rich, yeah everyone is infected and dying triggers it? no zombie munching required... messed up. I'd like to see someone spontaneously turn like when they are really mad or something. good episode. i'm digging the 2nd season and I think this new team is vindicated. anothing thing. just found out Maggie is British...!
