why did Lori get mad at Rick when she was the one that told him to kill Shane a few days ago? she's mental. the blogosphere is calling for her death.
Well, a few reasons possibly. According to the writer on TalkingDead, she might have just realized that she indeed caused her husband to commit murder (and the his best friend's death). Also, and no disrespect to women, she's pregnant, so hormonal fluctuations might be at play. WITH the zombie seed from either Rick or Shane. Remember, since EVERYBODY's infected, it doesn't actually matter which. And finally, perhaps, secretly she was really hoping that Rick would be the one that won't make it back from that walk in the woods..
I keep thinking ... If she had a miscarriage, would the baby become a zombie and eat her from the inside ?
I read this as well. Interesting, but a bit unlikely don't you think? Why would she want Rick dead? Is it because she knows Shane is the father of her child? I would friggin love to see Lori turn into Shane 2. That would be an awesome reason to keep her around.
awesome... that would be another reason to keep her around. not sure the network could handle it though.
It's definitely not gonna happen, but I would love to see her check out this way. Even better if she found out it was Shane's love child first !!
I think she would have been out of character if she wasn't mad at Rick. Lori is one of my least favorite characters on the show and if she was like "Oh that's cool," I would have been shocked.
It would depend on how far along in the pregnancy she was when she miscarried. The first synapses start firing around week 6. How much brain needs to be there for the zombie disease to take effect? My wife actually mentioned this to me last night as how she wants Lori to die. Haha.
You have a flaw with all of that ..... Logic !! Throw that out the window pal, with this show she could have a week pregnant and they would write it in.
I haven't watched most of season 2, I just gave up on it. However, Shane wasn't around as long in the comic so its hard to say. She was a bit lame in the comic at times, but then the comic progressed, well more quickly isn't the correct phrasing, but it got rid of Shane a lot quicker and got off the farm faster, so, I'm going to say no she wasn't. I would argue non of the characters were as lame in the comic as they were in the show. Also spoiler from the comic: * * * * She dies.
Things that I'm curious about {and I haven't read the comic, btw}: That substance oozing out of the zombie's skull. Black and oily looking. Other body parts still spray blood, so this seems important. Why Michone cut off the zombies' arms and what's she doing with the zombies walking them around like that? Michone doesn't seem to belong to that walled compound (a prison or walled off town?), so her rescuing Andrea had to be a resource-risking act, unless she cuts Andrea's arms off too.. Goddamn helicopter(s) are hinting at a perhaps larger scale organization, no? Maybe even manipulating zombie behavior?
I'm pretty sure she'll meet her demise just like Shane in the 2nd to last episode of season ( Season 3 episode 15). I'm calling it now. Now if only we could have Rick and Carl go out with her! EDIT: 1)The substance is just coagulated blood. They're Dead so... 2) Michonne cuts off the zombie arms and lower jaws in the comic so they can't get at her. She is using their smell to cover her own movement. They happen to be her ex b/f and his friend. 3) They don't explain where she came from in the comic really. 4)Helicopter is a news crew escaping Atlanta. You'll hear about their fate in Season 3.
the zombie on a leash thing is interesting. So it's like a zombie escort? walk with these dudes and the other zombies leave you alone? why doesn't everyone have one???
I was just thinking about Michonne's pet zombie's having the jaws removed to prevent biting. If the zombies are as crazed and hungry as they seem, would they really need a lower jaw to draw blood? I know they couldn't bite/ eat anyone, but they could still swing their head like a mallet and jam their upper teeth into you... Maybe the teeth are removed too. Then I got to thinking: why would a simple bite cause a living person to change? If everyone is already infected, why would a zombie bite cause death and undeath? You would think a person could survive a non- lethal bite without becoming a walker.
So, my theory on it goes like this: the bootable version of the zombie virus is within all living humans (and animals too?), obviously near the brain stem, but unable to take full control until the subject dies (yet already affecting behavior, right?). Once a suitable death brings down the infected individual, mature zombie virus production immediately takes over. Zombie physiology reanimates the dead, off it goes to munch on the still living.. a fresh bite simply allows mature zombie virus particles to be introduced into the system faster.
will be funny if they show Michonne feeding her zombie pets through a tube or something? she has to keep them alive somehow right? how do they eat without a lower jaw?
Kirkland brings up another good question. Do zombies need to eat to "live"? Or, since they are already dead, can they go on wandering in hunger for years or decades? Not only would the rotting smell help mask the living scent, but imagine the effect seeing a hooded stranger with 2 pet walkers in tow would have on other (possibly dangerous) survivors. A group of violent dudes like Rick and Hershel encountered at the bar would be highly likely to attack a lone female survivor. But seeing them walker gimps in tow, anyone would think twice.
I would imagine they don't necessarily need to eat to survive. I think it's just basic instinct that pushes them to attack and devour. I mean, a zombie's brain must be destroyed in order to kill it. And a zombie without a digestive system (stomach, intenstines, etc.) will still crawl around trying to find food even though it can't metabolize it. Take for instance the female zombie that Rick apologizes to and then kills during the first episode. Her body was lopped off below the rib cage, stomach and intestines hanging out everywhere... and obviously not getting anywhere with her hunting either. Yet, she remained alive til Rick killed her.
Since Zombies are dead I imagine their feeding on the living offers no nourishment to their bodies and cells. So how long before a zombie decomposes to the point it can no longer chase after you without falling to pieces? It seems that withen a few months the world would be near zombie free. Ones best bet would be to head south to more tropical regions where decomposition is faster. After the intitial surge of zombies, ie the first week, disease would be the main problem. All those rotting corpses. So one would have to stay away from populated areas because of that. I cant tell if its been weeks or months in the show. If weeks then I am ok with the amount of zombies but if its been months then there should be fewer zombies and the issues would be more about finding ways to survive, start community, and fight off roaming gangs of those that feel nothing matters anymore (such as the guys from season two, and/or religious fanatics, military rule, etc). As far as Michoones zombie slaves are concerned it seems that even jawless and armless they would keep attacking. She would have to keep them on the end of poles, not chains.
If you guys haven't read it yet, you should check out "The Zombie Survival Guide". They discuss lots of the stuff, like best climates to be in, decomposition, etc.
