Spoiler Oh yeah I know that. He comes back with Noah (another patient at the hospital). It's rumored that Carol infiltrates that hospital as a patient to try to get Beth out. Wait I think I might have answered my own question about the round trip. Maybe they some how got ahead of that car and Carol waited on the side of the road to get picked up? Who the hell knows but it should be interesting and we probably won't get back to the main group for a few episodes.
Great points. I keep seeing the darn commercial and it has my mind running all over... Spoiler I'm pissed the group is all split up again, glad the whole terminus thing was settled in three episodes and didnt drag on the whole season. As for Beth's little adventure, whatever awaits in this subplot, will it be setting us up with the next villain? And who is Noah? I didnt read far enough in the comics to learn of a Noah, unless I just dont remember since its been too long. Anyways, didnt care for beth either but looking forward to seeing what is revealed next
Spoiler I'm more excited about the trip to DC but did't want them to split like that. I figured they would because of the baby but man! looking forward to a gory hospital- bring it.
Hey do we have to go 100% spoilers in this thread? I figure if anyone is checking it out they know whats going on sort of....I'd just hate to come here and see all spoiler tags.
I sometimes come in here before i get to watch the show and didn't want to ruin anything for anyone. How bout we only use the spoiler tags on Monday?
First want to say thanks for being so courteous with the tags... They were definitely getting a little crazy though. Monday spoiler tags for the current episode sounds like a great idea. Can I propose an addendum that potential spoilers from those who follow the comic be tagged regardless of the day of week? If not, no worries... figured it couldn't hurt to ask. It gets tricky trying to keep with current discussion and avoid spoilers and previews like the plague. I'm not asking anyone to avoid speaking their mind (or hinting at the comic plot) for my behalf. Just asking to use your best judgment when it comes to posting.
So that is where they are going next...? I am excited. Reminds me of ep 1 BTW, i still cant believe what maggie and glenn did at the end of the newest episode (not trying to give up anything, and its not monday, so apparently i cannot use spoilers! ), i get they want to help and all, but i think that was a dumb idea on their part.
i have no idea where they are going only reacting to the posts above. Sometimes I think I want to read the comic then I come to my senses and buy a toy.
Right when they start going the right direction with the show, sure enough they do complete 180. Not looking forward to seeing more of these hospital episodes. Hopefully it's quick like terminus was.
Anything involving Beth's character is a complete waste of time, should have known. Why this show continues to try to sell her when she should have been a farm victim on the last episode of season 2 is ridiculous.
This episode wasn't that bad. I like Beth. Maybe it's because it's the only ongoing live action program I follow, so I'm not being that difficult... I think once you establish that your basically watching a very theatric (and gory) Soap Opera your OK. The thing that gets me going though is the constant mumbling, for that I missed what was going on with much of the first part of the show. Who's the patient lady and what's her role exactly ?
Yup, I'll go with that philosophy! It was kinda nice to have a break from the norm and good to see another groups dynamic and perspective.
Well I definitely like the angle of seeing the apocalypse from another groups viewpoint instead of Ricks group. I guess I'm kind of just hoping they won't always be antagonists and some of Rick's group will go "WTF why have been following this guy? Bad shit always happens- these people have it figured out!"
Not a big fan of Beth, but I enjoyed the episode. At least she didn't sing The zombie scare factor has been pretty meh lately. What's kept me hooked (as mentioned) is the introduction of the "other" groups and twisted precepts they've adopted to function and survive. TWD at the very least has been an interesting meditation on democracy, power and corruption. Spoiler Police abusing their power to form a militant institution (under the guise of benevolence) is a frightening concept. More creeped out by the hospital than Terminus. Glad to see Atlanta being revisited. There's huge potential there (and DC) to liven up the zombie action. Compared to Beth and Daryl's snoozefest (leading to the abduction), this one moved along well for the setup episode it was. The pace of this season thus far has been a huge improvement.
Yeah I'm not a fan of Beth either (nor her singing). No matter tough they try and make her I'm just not buying what they are selling. Next week we get Abe's group and hopefully (Eugene related so don't look unless you want major spoilers from the comics): Spoiler Eugene's ridiculous stories about a cure will be exposed. I mean I study sciences all day long but even someone with no science background could figure out his idiotic scenario lies. There is no cure he just wanted the protection of a group. I don't even think he is a scientist. Still the actor playing him is funny. I think we might even get a flashback (which I love) to Abe's backstory before Rosita & Eugene which is.... well really good.
One thing that is quite annoying is how the group gets separated every season and they always manage to get back together. What are the chances of that actually happening. Rick finding his wife and kid, all managing to get back after the farm gets over run, Merle reuniting with Darly, Terminus, now Carol with Beth.
Extremely important point you made there Anthony! With a world wide pandemic and ongoing threat of being killed via eaten by a mob of zombies, no order or structure (hence the threat of other survivors killing you), and very limited resources- barely any gas, food, or shelter.... well the chances of getting separated and found again are pretty much nil. That's the suspension on disbelief part I guess. Personally I'd like to see Morales again if we're going that route!
not what I was expecting but I'd have to agree that once you accept it as a gory soap opera its hard to be let down. Thank you for using the Spoiler tag for the comic stuff!
I'm intrigued to know how Carol ended up on a stretcher being brought into the hospital. It was weird seeing the actress who plays Officer Dawn Lerner (Christine Woods) turn up . . . . she was recently in Stephen Merchant's cancelled comedy series 'Hello Ladies'. The awkward aspiring actress she played in that is worlds-apart from a stern and aggressive cop! Saying that, i still hope the hospital story is over quickly . . . .
