yeahh we bring down the jumbos and play! yup Finn and Fionn's swords.. handmade by my Girlfriends brother.. we were them for Halloween last year
did you tether the big guys to the wall? I'd be scared of a magnitude 3 pelting me with the big bots in the middle of the night.
I thought of something interesting today. Instead of a boring whole collection shot, how about a boring group of shots of your collection growing? Watch it grow: April 2008: Collection Update shot 4/22/08 by Beautification Syndrome, on Flickr Nov 2008 (western stuff fades): Everyone by Beautification Syndrome, on Flickr Mar 2009: new tolf in the mix, now I have empty space! by Beautification Syndrome, on Flickr later 3/09: new arrangement by Beautification Syndrome, on Flickr Oct 2010: Whole Collection 1 by Beautification Syndrome, on Flickr Dec 2010: Maximum Capacity by Beautification Syndrome, on Flickr Sept 2011: Collectors by Beautification Syndrome, on Flickr May 2012: Progression 5/15/12 by Beautification Syndrome, on Flickr With toys scattered on desk, other shelf unit, and in the basement in storage..... Oh and I finally got to see old pics as I went pro on my flickr for 3 months. I've safely privatized most of my scandalous old party pics thank fuck.
I like how the bottom left corner was Western, then Western, than nothing, then eastern took over the world. Really fun shots Lixx.
Yeah that's the first thing everyone said: "Those western toys will be gone soon". I actually only own the Michael Lau Alien anymore. It's in storage. I like how in 2009 we still had not yet embraced Flat Screen TV technology.
Lixx, you have certainly perfected the art of toy cramming. I wonder if anyone else on the board comes close to your level of vinyl per cubic inch?
Hey I still have a couple 13 inch cathodes, around the house, I mean, I have a flat screen, but if it's not broke.... On an off note, I never realized how big Bakula is. If I ever think that something is expensive, I usually find out somewhere down the road why it's that much.
Ha it's all about taking off pesky long tails, hollowed risers, and a lot of patience! It's not that big really. Standard size, just an odd sculpt/head makes it look bigger. They come up from time to time, usually when you least expect them to.
Toy cramming sometimes makes it more exciting than having too much space. I like how these numerous colors and images clash with one another displayed like that. You're bound to spot a toy that you've never appreciated before.
You should have done some time-lapse photography. Watch the western side slowly empty out... second Detolf... third Detolf.
Very cool shots Lixx. Makes me wish I had pics of my collection's evolution as well. Crowded collections usually appeal more to me too for most of the reasons previously mentioned.
Great post, Lixx! You've definitely got a collection to be admired, man. It seems that he's been there from the beginning, but if that Garumega ends up taking up too much space, HOLLA!
Thanks! Green Garumega was sold awhile back after I got the purple one. I just decided two Garumega- too much space I wish I did time lapse photos Daniel!
May 2012: Progression 5/15/12 by Beautification Syndrome, on Flickr What's that giant space dude on the top right? Looks cool!
Ha, congratulations I'm havin fun goin' back through these photos of Lixx's collection enlarged on flickr. You've got quite the wonderful Mach Baron collection, Lixx! Not that I have to tell you that EDIT : Here's a quick link to the enlarged photo http://www.flickr.com/photos/lixx/7205604844/sizes/l/in/photostream/
