Yuck! Toy Co. miscellaneous nonsense

I'm mexican and had tons of friends in the rockabilly/psychobilly spectrum. Greaser is an often term used for people who grease their hair to make a pomp in california at least. Seems to be a widely used term for a rockabilly everywhere as well.

 

That's what I thought, since I've been into it since greasing my own hair for over 15 years. Goon Grease for life, baby.

 

I suppose it is just one of those words that has more than one definition.

 

Fonzie was a greaser!

In the UK, a Greaser was someone who was part of Motorbike lifestyle culture. It was also used as a term for Heavy Metal music fans. Basically anyone with a leather jacket and long 'greasy' hair. In my part of the country though, us metalheads were called 'Jitters', and I've still no idea why.

 

So anyways I was in Costa Rica for 3 days for a friend's wedding. I decided to bring a handful of toys with me to photograph along the way. Some of my favorites were of my little rubber N.A.T.I.V.E.S. keshi. Here's a few.

 

It's nice out so I set up my Yuck Toy Co. table at Backyard Toy Con 2021. Sweet lord I need to get out more...

slowpoke. Production has started on Greaser Neko via KtoKto, hopefully collab with Goon Grease pomade works out. Working on head sculpt for Grody Shogun "Good Head Goons" sofubi project. Paying off mortgage/house/credit cards/wedding.... dreaming of plastic injection molding.

 

Greaser Neko artwork illustrated and colored by myself. Drawn traditionally in one of my sketchbooks and colored digitally. Sticker and/or shirt release corresponding with vinyl drop info hopefully soon...

Been kinda all over the place so I apologize for the lack of any substantial updates. Found out my wife was pregnant and she's on her 14th week now, so things have been more focused on home and health more than anything. Also heavily buried in my sketchbooks, fleshing out a handful of past and upcoming concepts for toy lines. Now how the hell do I get them produced? Ugh. lol.

 

Stepped outside the sofubi world to focus heavily on my Wormhole Warriors universe...Including the main villain, Lord Morbus.

These are 3.75" action figures I had produced in Mexico through Aynkreativ. These are mixed parts at the moment, mostly reds and pinks. I will be receiving more red AND black parts soon.

 

Printing off some holiday mailers for folks who'd like one, plus past customers and gallerys/shops. Let me know if you'd like one and I'll be happy to send one out.

 

Sat down this weekend and painted up a couple peppermint Woo pieces. Between decorating and watching our 8 month old, I really only had time for the 2...so maybe more in the future?

Been doing a lot of painting over the past week with my new set of Vinyl Wonder paints. Trying to get a good run going for my end of the year lucky bags!

 

@MisterYuck How big are the not-Woos? And are they one piece?

The "mountain phantom" custom in the first photo is a combo of Mad Ape and Vinyl Wonder paints. Excuse the messy brush work.
The second image is my "Fanatic" finger puppet painted with Vinyl Wonder and painted on the interior with Monster Kolor silver.
