I grew up with those damn "THE COLORS, DUKE...THE COLORS" Lick-A-Color popsicle commercials. Plus hot pink and teal make me all hot and bothered.

Finally went back after a couple weeks of thinking about it and painted over my experiment Tripus from the Monster Kolor painting seminar I received 3.5 years ago.

This was it's 3.5 year old mess of a paint job. I used essentially every color I had at my disposal because i was just so amped to be able to test out EVERY single Monster Kolor airbrush paint.

And this is it after yesterday's afternoon sesh. Decided to keep a bit of the Monster Kolor vibe alive on it and used some Grape Ape. May go back into it and detail the eyes and some of the other spots. What color would you want to see?

Just threw together a carded figure mock up for my Wormhole Warrior project that is currently under way. Getting some truly killer illustration work done by a friend of mine and waiting on the plastic factory sample. They re-did the articulation points for me as well for free which is beyond cool. Can't wait!

Wow I neglect the crap out of this thread. Here's a re-paint I did today on the Marmit Cycloptopus I picked up from a fellow 'Brainer. Gotta dust off the cobwebs before my own vinyl figures arrive. :O

10 inch 3D printed prototype for the Asphaerius vinyl project. Being produced by the same factory as Skattum's Alien Lazer figure. Needless to say I am over the moon.

This can be moved if deemed necessary, as this is only the factory's proto. Just wanted to share my excitement with the other fine feathered friends out there.

Cycloptopus? Yes, as do i! My girlfriend also commented on it last week when I stuck it out in the living room for all to see. That photo doesn't do it justice. Metallic blues and purples with some hot pink on top of a transparent Gaia red and silver details.

Been wanting to share as much information regarding my chinese vinyl toy ventures, but things got in the way and I have just been posting most of my updates via Instagram.

    However, with that being said.........

Check out this unbelievably rad as hell artwork I received from my buddy Ryan Wheaton. He digitally illustrated my character, Asphaerious, for me! Can NOT Wait to throw it on to some cardbacks and headers! MMMMMMM!!!

@Patrickg2k your wish is my command.

Benny shot over this great photo of the test shot two days ago.

He also noted that the final production run will not be matte as shown in the above photo. Every forthcoming piece will be 100% glossy. Also, I'd like to add that I haven't really posted anything about this project here on this board because I figured it would be best to let folks discover it on their own and let posts blossom from that organically. I hope you like it so far, though! I should have this test shot in hand soon! Production is a go!

World Building yesterday. The Wormhole Warriors aren't the only inhabitants of this universe.

This makes me think of those aliens that were added to the G.I. Joe line at the end of the run.

The 3D version is very Bugmen of Insecta-ish, too.

Posting in my thread here to ask, "Has anyone used Vallejo model air or game air on vinyl toys?" It's water based, but they're apparently specially made to adhere to metals and plastic. Wanted to find out ASAP! Thank you!

the more I see your Asphaerius design the more I see him with a web or net style weapon/accessory.I don't know if it was the Battlestar Ovion comparison that set me down that route?Anyway, really like the colour scheme:)

Thank you @doomboy ! A type of web weapon would be pretty cool to see, for sure! I've been picturing Asphaerius and most, if not all of the rest of the Wormhole Warriors being able to materialize weaponry via their power gems through their suit. A web weapon would theoretically possible I suppose!

I like to put things in the hands of toys, whether it be smaller toys or weapons, although there are plenty of great toys without that design.
I am guessing that a contrasting colour in his 'belly blaster' will emphasise its functionality.

Totally agree there, man! An accessory always adds an extra layer of fun to the figure. When Ryan and I were going back and forth on the direction of the illustration, we decided to go with a classic bright green to show the power gem's energy. Obviously this color could change depending on the character or use!

Progress has, from my understanding, come to a halt due to defects in the production mold. So the factory has had to start over with that and I have not received any updates on it's progress in a little over a week. Hoping to hear some good news soon and not the other way 'round. :/
