Yuck! Toy Co. miscellaneous nonsense

With the vinyl production complete for my Captain Y mascot toy, I decided to sit down and complete some header cards for them. Credit to Johan and KTO are included on the back of the header.



Beth Graves is nearly complete with my Greaser Neko concept and Mr. Cool Cat will be sent overseas to.....none other than....Kto Kto! He did such a bang up job on the Captain Y toys, I figured Greaser Neko would be safe with him. Header card art will be coming soon for him as well.



And let's just finish up here with a personal project that has been sitting collecting dust now for quite some time. You'll have your day yet, Goji-san.

the WISPS arrived in the mail this past week alongside the adorable little boxes they'll be packaged in.





Each little spooky fella is boxed as a set of 4 different sculpts, each one being a different color, so it's a mix pack. Each box also contains a sticker featuring the box art that my fiance' did an awesome job coloring, so I wanted to share it in sticker form. They'll go on sale this October as a Halloween treat.

 

WISPS are up in the shop. I've got 6 packs left, looking for good homes to haunt.

Over 2 years in the making. Milky figures just showed up this afternoon. More images on my Insta.

 

Getting back in the spray booth the past couple weeks. Planning on sitting down and cranking out a small run of Mountain Phantoms.

Here's some shots, including just some purple test sprays on this Lewis Berserker.


White spray over the arctic ice blue and hand detailing darker blue on the hands, feet and face. Added Monster Kolor silver to the nails, eyes and teeth after.


And here's a couple one-offs out enjoying their natural habitat.

It's my own Mountain Phantom homage to one of my all time favorite kaiju in Media. So yes, a "wootleg".

KtoKto just sent me some lovely photos of the Greaser Neko test shot.

 

That is pretty interesting. I had only ever heard the term "greaser" as a horribly derogatory racial slur. Mostly back in school. I don't think I was aware it had another meaning besides insulting Mexicans and occasionally Italians.

Looked it up! This is the only definition I was aware of but there are others I see.

Well that's the first time I heard that. Every time I see it used is within the rockabilly, ratrod and hotrod subcultures, ie. typically folks seen greasing their hair back with pomade. I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on it so far. That being said though, the name has not been "set in stone" if you will, so if this truly is an offensive term then changes can obviously be made.
