 Re: Lord Bemon Strikes Back
Fuuuck I need an "agent" in Japan. This is cool, I do like Bemon "regular" more but shit, I don't have one of those either. Very cool though.

From a distance it looks ok but from the closeups I've seen elsewhere I'm unimpressed.

Like the Bemon though, I do like how CK is creating another figure pulling from the past, that never really existed other than in printed form. Especially a creature from the classic FM magazine that I grew up on.

Not trying to be contrary because I can see how you would get that impression, but I think he's actually a pretty nice guy. Maybe just a little shy? Sometimes I'll go in there and he really won't say anything, but he's usually really friendly and nice. I would say his store is a little overpriced (compared with places like Ichibanboshi), but he still has some TIGHT stuff in there if you dig around a little.

 Re: Lord Bemon Strikes Back
I also have a feeling that the Bemon/Longneck stuff is a big part of how he stays in business, but I don't really know. I'm definitely with you that he's certainly not as gregarious as someone like Mori (who is?), but I've never seen him be a total jerk to anyone, either. I'm also a die-hard optimist, though, so that might have something to do with it...

 Re: Lord Bemon Strikes Back
I think when you're working retail and have to deal with the public every day it's only a matter of time until you become a complete dick. Customers can be some of the most frustrating folks on the planet.

I hope that I never frustrate any of my favorite retailers with anything other than bringing them business and spending my hard earned money at their establishment...

Hmm, so the relevance of the old spiked-ball Bemon keychain becomes clear.

 Re: Lord Bemon Strikes Back
I am assuming that the keychain isn't included with this figure as it was always sold separately in the past. And that it was just added for this display. Maybe I'm wrong.

Looks like it's inside the bag in this picture. Cool toy, I'd like more smog monsters but I guess there are only so many unproduced monsters to choose from.
