Really? I thought it looked pretty good, preserving symmetry nicely with the crazy eyed tricycle goji.
Hmm.

More seriously, I'm assuming that's your girlfriend/wife - you're very lucky that you get to display everything out in the open like that :)

It's Paman or Perman depending on Company/Who you ask.
The Katakana for his name is パーマン

thanks! And I love Greasebat. I dream about getting to see one of my illustrated designs be made tangible!

And yes they are billy shelves. Really awesome IMO.
I used the ikea billy extension and omitted the top of the standard billy case. Secured the two pieces with a little handy work and BAM. Very tall open shelf space.
It's a shame ikea doesn't make a glass door that runs the WHOLE height of an extended Billy.

Doraemon is the little cat guy that's "The Gadget Cat from the future!" and Paman is my Avatar.
technically his name is literally Pa-Man. With a extended "ah" sound.
Which is a Japanese shortened version of Su Pa Man or superman.
Which is why some people call him Perman.
I think Bandai even released the VCD versions as Perman... not 100% on that. But it sounds right...
Paman is one of the most bad ass and hilarious Manga ever. Fujiko A. Fujio is the creator of both Doraemon and Paman, along with Obake No Q-Taro and many many others.
the 1975 or so Popy Doraemon is in my colection. And there is even a Victora Paman toy in the case w the Robomaru items.
Paman is very very hard to acquire.

I've been trying to display less pieces and rotate. So I gave myself some rules :
1. no more than 3-5 boxes out as background "hey i got cool boxes/packaging" showing off. And if you notice mine are almost all window boxes, in that get they toy out front.
2. only 2 rows, maybe 3... of characters, and not every character in a series. Give em space to breathe. Less is more.
3. Symmetry rules... most of the time. I got a tall in the center and balanced thing going FTMP.

BUT right now I'm not feeling my robocon gokin in my living room as the boxes are not lined up well and it looks cluttery.
AKA they get reorganized mañana!
