Re: Star Case Robo Viceroy Gulmeyer
I'm sorry if this has been explained in here.
I just got the black robo viceroy vader guy... and the gold paint is rubbing right off onto my fingers.
Normal?

Normal? Normal, the paint they used in this specific release is not that great, i think it's copper based so it oxidizes which explains the green residue (that's in the case that you got your nib). It will rub off but up to a point. Mine will rub off just from time to time but only a bit. I wiped it carefully when i opened it. i think its just the excess paint because when i wiped it sure paint came off but the color was still the same.

I'm going to rub it down, if it all comes off, it all comes off. I'll have someone else touch it up with better paint. Edit: BLECH. I just got paint in my mouth.

Re: Star Case Robo Viceroy Gulmeyer
So, somebody was saying to bring on the Storm Trooper. Dennis guessed the next release would be a Storm Trooper. Maxaltoman hope the Storm Trooper will be in black. BOOM! Lasted less than a minute. Couldn't really make out the order. Almost typing with my forehead. Ended with me banging my forehead on the keyboard.

Re: Star Case Robo Viceroy Gulmeyer
I got one into my cart somehow, but then couldn't figure out how to make the next step. Totally bummed. Really want one if anybody here got one but doesn't end up keeping it - though I'm not interested in paying 200% retail. Also would like Viceroy Gulmeyer (blue or yellow) - but again, not at 200% retail.

Google Chrome auto translate always saves the day for these types of things.

Re: Star Case Robo Viceroy Gulmeyer
Auto fill helped too. I hope there's a white version for continuity. I'd also like to see something silly like a clear unpainted or glitter vinyl (SPACE!) or something. I can't wait for more sculpts in this series too!

More sculpts, more colorways - more chances to be frustrated and disappointed. Google Translate only added to my frustration this morning. But yeah, I still am looking forward to seeing this line develop... Oh - and I really want to see a bright green Commando!

Re: Star Case Robo Viceroy Gulmeyer
in my experience, google translate is only so accurate, I usually copy and paste text to freetranslation.com as well and try to extract the meaning based on both. most online carts are going to include some form of button or drop down menu and more often than not those remain untranslated.

Re: Star Case Robo Viceroy Gulmeyer
Sucks to hear, I've had 0 issues using Chrome/translator/Autofill when I go through Japanese retailers at top speed.
The Vader had an open run for the unpainted, maybe he'll do that again for these?

Re: Star Case Robo Viceroy Gulmeyer
So looks like they went for around $65. How much was the shipping on these?
Also, anyone ever been hit with customs fees with goods from Japan?

It usually is when I go through Japanese cart systems like that too.

7650.00 Yen to the US. So just under $100 direct.

Re: Star Case Robo Viceroy Gulmeyer
Or now just under $200 US BIN on the bay! Going to wait to see if there are more of these pop up, or if anyone offers one in B/S/T. Can't justify double the price just because it's available. But why is it so freakin' tempting???

Not even remotely tempted at that price.

Re: Star Case Robo Viceroy Gulmeyer
i might be totally wrong, but I think i've seen them sell on here for around 150 : ( (or was it 125?)
Wish the lust would die down. hopefully with more releases, things will become a bit more reasonable on the secondary market.

Someone thought the price was good, it's gone now. I'm sure after a first wave get sold, it will settle down.
