Way! You can check out lots of Polyester Cowboy's (Miles) work for sale at Munktiki.com. Click on the link for "new" releases to see the anatomical head tiki mugs. He and his dad are tiki mug-making geniuses

Thanks for the link! This is exactly what I was looking for, very helpful.

Miles is a great and very talented guy so it's good to spread the word about his work.
BTW, the anatomical heads are functional tiki mugs - you can actually drink from them. The exposed brain pops off so you can pour your drink into it and there's a hole in the top to let you slip a straw in.

Really spiffy deep sea creatures, handmade goblet by New York ceramicist Mary Cloonan It's huge! The deep sea critters are made by the sgraffito process. In this case, the top bowl of the goblet was dipped first in dark blue slip (basically colored mud, the consistency of a milk shake), dried, then dipped in cream colored slip. The artist then uses a scratching tool to etch away the cream layer of slip, to reveal the dark blue layer, thus forming the decoration. Then the whole thing gets coated in clear glaze, fired in a kiln, and then magic I love handmade ceramics - so very tactile and organic in it's not-factory-produced-perfect shape!
Here is a demo of sgraffito, except the artist removes all of the slip, to create decorations...

Agreed . Great value on those 4 film sets if anyone is looking to upgrade to blu ray copies, only $14.99 each. They look and sound fantastic. I thought Gamera The Brave was weak, but love this set...

I didn't really care for Gamera The Brave too much. I mean....its a kaiju movie, and i'd rather watch a bad kaiju movie than a lot of other crap that's out there, but I thought it was kind of slow.

NICE! I need to find the 2 on the left!
Sweet, I was lucky and got them all in one lot.
Has anyone seen these Monster 500 racers at Toys R Us? Probably the coolest thing I've seen there in a long time. This guy's hearse lights up and he laughs like the Crypt Keeper:

Just received this custom acrylic cabinet from our sister site. I threw some SB in there to try it out. It can be mounted on the wall but I will wait until we move within the next yr so here it sits. The former owner used velcro to keep the door closed so I may revise that.
