I might be in the minority, but I don't like that damaged arm as much as id like to see a full arm.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
I like how the the one they showed at sdcc was if there was a gorilla inside the mg suit and had his helmet blown off or toke it off after battle. Doesnt really make since having bandages wrapped all over a mecha body that doesnt bleed? Still badass, purely nitpicking for discussions sake

Fyi - There was no "open lottery" for this release of the flesh painted 2head.

I hope hxs will hold some occassional old school physical sales not only at pus events. Buying toys physically makes memorable scores.

Original I wasn't to fond of the whole body wrapped in bandages and the hanging fist. But after seeing it painted like this it looks wonderful. Still not liking that hanging fist. Just seems odd. Also congrats to one of our SB member cyber_ann for the win! Make sure you take a lot of sexy pictures of it and share it with us.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
The hanging arm seems too fragile & gives me a "Do not touch - may break" vibe.
So I think I'd prefer a full damaged arm .... but really like the rest of the sculpt!

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
Man the more I see it, the less I like that arm. I'd still take one given the oppertuniy, everything else is rad, but that gap really throws off the natural angle of an arm and hand. Also that super skinny wire just looks weird compared to the nice and chunky proportions the rest of the figure has.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
I really like the arm. I think the contrast of the sturdy/chunky sculpt and the thin fragility of wires is really interesting. I could imagine wires sticking out of the belly and the eye, which might balance it more, but overall it is a great addition to Hirota's line up. Now the tricky part of actually finding 1.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
I can imagine that Meca-gorilla is just as annoyed with that dangly chunk of iron flopping all around. Actually, I think it would look better cut off at the stump and held aloft in his other hand, wires hanging.

I think its quite cool, the hand that is, not seen a toy like this before, think it's quite realistic too in a giant mecha gorilla kind of way

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
The wire on the arm isn't thin, so it doesn't flop around.. I think if the wire was frayed a bit that it would be a little cooler looking. And the idea of having wires hanging from the eyes and whatnot would be neat as well.

I think it looks like an old broken toy. I like it.
It won't happen obviously but if there was an open pre-order I would grab one for myself. Toys that are incredibly difficult to get actually make me want them a little less rather then making me crave them even more.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
I think the figure would be awesome with one of his arms half missing and no wires. It was a super good idea to make his arm broken apart, but the wires just don't do any good to me. The head sculpt is phenomenal though, I want one just for that.

The whole figure looks great! And if it's sturdy wire you could get a real illusion of weight and motion coming out of that arm with certain poses - like it's being flung forward for example.

I think I'd rather just have the wires coming out and the fist as a separated omake

I like the dangling hand, looks as if it remains attached by a single tendon.

I went to this event saturday... In person they are absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunatly I wasn't able to get one as they claim they are only for display but I know the previous night people bought some. That's the benefit of being VIP. Was a great opportunity regardkess and im happy I went. What was really nice was this King Gorilla!!! Great work all around

They hyped it as the debut release of the sculpt then only sold some to VIPs (who didnt need a line ticket, wait in a crazy line OR pay $5 i bet....) on a completely diff day than the actual hyped event?! Laaame.... Pus hype machine keeps on chuggin... And before ppl pipe in with "its an artists work and they can decide how to sell it however they want": i totally agree but i just think that is lame if thats how it went down.
