I don't think that I could bring myself to pay that much for a blank figure.

Id pay that in a heartbeat. The secondary market is just ridiculous.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
He did 30 of each color unpainted for the KGJ? So 60pcs total if u total up so yea 50 vs 60 is not much different. But i think u should really look at by color, so 10 vs 30 is def significantly lower
*edit: it was actually 40 blue, 30 d.green so 70 total

I'd have paid $250 for sure, personally. I feel like his prices are extremely fair already.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
I agree on the price regardless of run size, 250 is totally fair. And yes color by color it's low, but as a total in the world it's average. I suppose if your after one color only it's hard but if like myself any color would do, I'm sure in time one will pop up.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
There were also 40 of the unpainted blue. This all said, do you guys really think there is a justified mark up on a smaller run? Especially unpainted? It's understandable to have a high price on a smaller painted run, if they have more work put into them than a larger release.
I'm not saying this toy has a mark up, and I don't think anyone else should be either. This could be the going price for all releases, it is a collaboration and both artists involved need to be paid.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
Sorry my bad. I misunderstood about the # of releases you guys were talking about.
Also the mark up could be that it's for a gallery event. I expect or hope that direct sales from HS will cost at least $200 or much less. $250 is still a fair price for that event.

If I'm understanding your question correctly David, it depends on the minimum required by the manufacturer. I think most know that the higher the run, the manufacturing price usually goes down. Further, the artist may be off-setting the cost of the painted versions by keeping the cost on both editions the same. In the end, I don't take issue with the prices set forth by the company or the artist. It's their right to price their work as they see fit. It's up to the consumer to decide if it's worth their money.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
Itamu was $240.
Flesh KGJ + poster was 25000yen plus 4000 shipping&fees.
Itamu does seem a bit more for being an unpaint, however it is a collabo so I would say warrants the price. Still Verrry reasonable, imo. Would have loved an omake of some kind..but thats nitpicking.

Sculpting is so good on this, but, no matter how many times I TRY to be ok with the fist/wires, it's just no good... I think a longer chain or just no fist at all would work best. The original Ju and King Ju are kind of perfect. You all can have this one
