That was my thinking Joe. I can't think of how you could cast it otherwise.
If the minis fit in the chest it is probably two pieces (looks like it has a seam) and the weapon would be 13.

I think the other 3 mini have articulated arms. If you look they would be impossible to pull with there arms down like that. So.. that would make 6 more points of articulation.

The packaging artwork on this set is sublime.. Does anybody know if Ilu Ilu does the artwork himself or is it another artist?

Was under the impression he did all package design/artwork himself as he is a graphic designer by day I believe? Someone please correct if not.

The red and blue has such a Perceptor from Transformers vibe.

That's what I was thinking - his artwork is fantastic & this promo illustration for the new figure is next level! I don't suppose anybody has any information on anything he worked on before making toys or if he currently produces children's books like Buta?

I don't normally peek my head in the ilu ilu thread but this robot guy? ::swoon:: I used to be quite a diaclone collector about 16 years ago. This guy definitely has some major appeal.
Too bad ilu ilu is hard to come by.

Re: ILU ILU Neo Gorilla, Tokio, Görz, & Other! Database 1st
These are some really impressive, but of course up to the amazing standard he sets for himself with each release. I have a feeling this is going to be similar to the usual figures, in that it comes out smaller than a lot of folks expect. Which just makes the execution that much more impressive. But the micros too? Wow, my mind (and inner child) wants these so bad. The price is high, admittedly, and even though it isn't something I could afford, I can at least see a little where it is coming from. Especially in the face of stuff that is fetching other far more ridiculous pricing these days. To be honest, I would be pretty much happy with a massive lineup of these in giant scale, clunky plastic, made cheaply in China. I would happily fill a whole shelf with them and play to my heart's content for hours (which is probably sad, but I don't really care) - but that isn't really what these are. I will just wish all the luck to the people attending SF, and hope to see some more photos of these guys in the wild after their release. On a purely nitpicking note, I will add that the initial preview shot gave my a better impression of them from the variety of colours (e.g. the red brain robot and darker green on the 'chest blaster'). I prefer the pastel/Decepticon set colours to the red/Autobot, but I think more colour intermingling would have been more effective. Just a personal preference; they go excellently together as a set natually. Very excited to see some blind mini surprises though!

Already seen 4 or 5 of the robot sets on M for 55,000 yen (and upwards).. Shame to see so many being flipped especially if it ended up being a lottery due to high interest at the event.

Re: ILU ILU Neo Gorilla, Tokio, Görz, & Other! Database 1st
Flipping must target the Gambler section of the brain. The amount of work (nonwork type work), waiting in line, pissing people off, rushing to list, waiting for some dummy to pay double or triple the price, and then only getting that on one out of every 5 toys you try to flip while being stuck with at least a few everytime that the flipper can't move. Seems like such a dummy move, as I am sure the payoff usually is only break even after all the time and money put into the effort.

¥24000 at the event... now going for at least ¥55000 (however I'm not sure how many have actually sold at such a crazy price)
