\ / THANK YOU, Dagoberto!!! You made me feel like attending 2015 D-Con with that punk haul: http://skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=31450&p=883367#p883367
Thank fuck! Done with the fall semester as of 10 minutes ago (emailed last assignment in) and I have 38 days of freedom till my last semester of school. Done in May! As least this next semester I have a cool internship helping monitor owl and peregrine falcon populations in the area with the DEC. This offsets boring Calc 2 and Sign Language 2.
Hey, congratulations man. Just a little more to go, and it will all be over. Well-earned. Enjoy the time off and try to [at least temporarily] forget all things school-related.
Congrats and good luck! Sounds pretty interesting. Could be a good opportunity there for a career afterwards too.
Thank you internet for finding me a solution to avoid Apple's newer (but crappier) program 'Photos'. What an awful program! iPhoto was so much better. Apple is a bit insidious by not making 9.6.1 (the last version) available on the app store, but my work around was connecting my external drive to Kim's computer still running Yosemite and grabbing a copy. Thankfully I can now properly edit photos without banging my head on the desk or having to deal with Photoshop.
Thank you to my boyfriend's cousin for getting me a case of Jones soda for Christmas... because ringing in the New Year with seltzer feels so sad. Have officially made the decision not to drink alcohol anymore because one drink either a) gets me really drunk really fast, b) really tired where I get grumpy and want to pass out, or c) makes me nauseous as all hell. (Medicine I take interacts with alcohol in a real bad way.) So it's special soda on holidays and special occasions now. I had Green Apple, mmm.
Since there's a thread where we get to post about things that fucking suck, I'm starting a thread about things that fucking make life awesome... Just so maybe we can find a bit of positivity amongst ourselves amid all the bullshit going on in the world right now. I sure as hell need a thread like this right now to remind myself that life isn't so bad. (I know we have a Thank You thread, but I feel like that thread is more like thank yous that are targeted towards specific people.) I'll start, I suppose. FUCK YEAH for getting tickets to see Phantogram in NYC later this year. FUCK YEAH for seeing my college buddy from New Hampshire that I haven't seen for 2 years FUCK YEAH for silly $0.25 toys in those little vending machines (I got a little green rubber hammerhead shark with a suction cup. He's stuck on my desktop case.) FUCK YEAH dog best friends
There is the "THANK YOU" thread that served this purpose before, I think. http://skullbrain.org/bb/index.php?threads/thank-you-thread.41227/ http://skullbrain.org/bb/index.php?threads/the-thank-you-thread.38523/
FUCK YEAH! I started physical therapy yesterday to help with my migraines, and I'm already feeling better. Although I have bruises all over my shoulders from the lacrosse ball they have me using to work out the knotted muscles. The therapist is cute too
@blakewest I had a cute physical therapist when I broke my shoulder. Well, except for the day she wasn't there and some massive guy proceeded to bend my body into heretofore unknown shapes. I was wondering how PT helps with migraines, though? i thought it was to treat particular parts, like, I mean, they're obviously not massaging your brain, right?
@Odibex my migraines get triggered because I have really tight traps and neck muscles. So the PT is intended to loosen those muscles up and then strengthen the antagonists so they don't get tight again.
The very first massage I ever received at a really well reviewed spa was done by a huge dude who looked like Ethan Suplee and talked about how much he loved ICP the whole time. Decided I didn't really care for massages after that haha
Yeah, ICP fan talk from the masseur would not really be the most conducive thing to a relaxing massage.
That's awesome that you were able to find out what was causing your migraines! Hopefully the PT will ease them. Mine are unfortunately tied to rapid outdoor temperature drops (possibly barometric pressure too), dehydration, and inactivity. THANKFULLY I can easily remedy the other two. Since I started carrying a seltzer bottle with me around the house and started taking the pup on longer walks, my migraines have gone down in frequency. Magnitude hasn't helped much though. When I get them, they're bad. Thank goodness for Triptans...
A huge thank you to @brianflynn and @joshuajh for saving the he-man license from Mattel! I can't wait to see what you guys come up with, especially with classics. Couple of selfish requests, but can we please get a classics new adventures lizzor and hoove. Also classics of the concept red beast and horde mummy. I'm predicting good things! Thanks guys!
Extra big thank you to the person whom I got the Gold Marmit Pulgasari from on my birthday- sincerely amazing doll
