Oh, that's Great! Ha, the overseas requests must've been starting to mount up, and like I'd mentioned earlier, they were almost apologetic that they couldn't help in the reply I received a little while back, so that's wonderful news! They sure are releasing some beautiful work. I've never been a big fan of their Touma related pieces.
I had a question on the Moai Robo. Is there only one size of the sculpt currently and how big? I keep eyeballing a few on Mandarake, but I can't tell the size of the guy based on the pics. One even looks like a mini to me, or at least like a 4" size. It's a killer design. Thanks!!
http://www.minoruland.com/m-sofubi/m-sofubi.html There are currently three versions of Moai Robo: mini, standard & giant. Going to that link above and running it through Google translation should find the sizes. Cheers!
Here's all 3, the mini was actually an omake that came with a Froggen. The Giant Moai Robo is in my opinion one of the best toys out there, just a beautiful figure. Though I have a love hate relationship with Monstock, I've been waiting on 3 toys for over a year, and just got one of them a few weeks ago. Yet they continue to offer new releases and take in orders without fulfilling colorways tthat people purchased over a year ago. I will probably never order another figure from Monstock, if I want something I'll just suck it up and buy it on the secondary market to avoid the wait. Untitled by Splurrt, on Flickr
I agree. I know its a work of art, but I as well purchased way back and still waiting. If they were a couple of months I could live that but I don't think there producing 100's of units for each different colorway either. Is Monstock a one man company?
The giant moai is amazing...my favorite monstock so far. Would love to see some comparison shots just to get an idea of the size.
Probably not everyone's favorite collaboration, but I was happy to finally get my hands on one of these (and at a steal to boot): He's one heavy chunk of vinyl.
