Anyone here pick up the recent “Tales of Two Minutes Monster” from the Monster Heaven line? Usually, dino-type sculpts don’t so much for me, but I do love that thing… would love to hear thoughts from someone who’s experienced it in-hand.

Got a pic of them? I do love dino toys, and hadn't heard anything about these. It might be more painful to know what I missed out on, but I am definitely intrigued. The idea of classic monsters shorts hits me in all the right spots.

Ah cool. While I kinda of like the character, it is along the lines of the darker and metallic paint schemes and 'realistic' nature of all the recent Marmit figures, which, while incredibly skilled and of the highest quality, just don't really do it for me. A guy like this would really stand out against my collection of VP and earlier MH figures that are more, I don't know, toy-like. I guess I just prefer more simplistic versions and basic colours - but these work fantastically on all these B movie monsters.

You can really feel the heft of the lower half of that sculpt. Just marvelous.

    YES.

The open-mouthed "howling" version is one of my favorite modern Godzilla sculpts.

Great Mongler man! The demon eyes on that one make him especially creepy. Although I find the Q version to be a bit cuter and less nightmare-inducing, this Marmit version is pretty great. I have one with the more typical MH metallic highlights:

Yeah, the pupils go a long way towards making him less creepy.

So I got my Ring toy today and not really liking the hair. I was expecting regular hair not sculpted on there.

Yep, I was guilt of not giving these PB guys enough attention to in the past. But here is an exception to the rule, this mini Dustman is one of the my favourites from the Parababy line. Such a nice original sculpt of a great character. Done on a beautiful yellow vinyl with gorgeous paints, I just love him.

It is one of the more challenging guys, but probably just because Dustman is always popular, and the Spectreman sets seem to pop up a lot less than others. There are actually two variants, this one came paired with a red Neo-Hedoron, but I just have the one guy.

Great sprays on that one, Steve. Certain PBs suffer a bit for my eyes in that department, not so here. I hope you can find his pollution-laden mate some day,

Time for some more gloriously crude Marmit candy. Really love this toy; simply fantastic sculpt, amazing detail, excellent character, and really nice pastelly colours on light blue vinyl. There isn't anything about him that I don't love. The simple time and patience it must have taken to sculpt all of these tiny bumps on his body, make it work in natural/non-homogeneous fashion while not feeling overwhelming or forced, and to then cast this guy without disrupting the flow - a mastery of sofubi art and technique. Sorry to go on and on, but suffice it to say I really like this toy. As a whole, I just love the chunkiness of the VP line, and Gorosaurus is one of the best.

Giving him a couple different angles here just to show how great he really is, and try and capture some of the personality of a super toy. Hyped dinos and other beasts eat your heart out. It will always be about the classics for me.

Congrats on landing the Miami Vice version, Phteve! Hopefully my turn will come up sooner than later.

My Toho row lacks any flavor of Gorosaurus, I'm sad to admit, and the above is my absolute favorite rendition of the beast.

I gotta agree with you guys: both that Gorosaurus and the VP Varan are fantastic sculpts. For some reason, the Gorosaurus makes me think of the suit's appearance in The Last Dinosaur, rather than a proper "Gorosaurus" role...but either way, he's great. And while I think Varan should lose a little weight (really, who couldn't???), the head sculpt is intense and awesome!
