I also loved the fact that he was in every Marvel movie made.. It seems like today is a great day to watch Black Panther, I’ve never seen the whole thing and can’t wait to see his cameo in that one!

Most definitely. The fact that he almost lived to be hundred years old and has brought so many people joy.I know so many people that grew up on Marvel.

Oh wow. Was in the field all day and just came back to this news. It's weird to think how these things can still come as such a shock, even if somehow there are a normal part of life. Stan gave so much to the comics world, and pop culture at large. I am not saying I agree with everything he did; but one can't just negate the body of work and the influence what he did at Marvel on decades and decades of output (and still will, of course) and multiple generations of fans. To think that we wouldn't have some of the heroes today which we might take for granted, if not for his creative endeavours. I was really sad to see how he (and his estate) was manipulated by familial relations and management. I would not want his legacy to feed that sort of thing.

I don't want to get into a big two debate here, but Marvel was my bag. The stories of those many characters, who were all flawed in some way, but approachable normal 'weirdos,' as they were, were infinitely more relatable to me than the invulnerable supermen ethos of the DC world. The humanity and complexity he introduced to this world of silly kids drawings made the Silver Age of comics the real 'golden age' to me. It is, after all, how many of these characters are defined today. For that, and all the inspiration and adventures his works bestowed, I offer my sincere thanks and appreciation.

As said here already, his more recent appearances in the Marvel films were always such a fun nod (even in Deadpool, which is saying a lot). Along with his many creations, which will always continue to be loved by me, even if some have pass me by, his narration on the Hulk cartoon is something that is seemingly ingrained in my mind. As a result I think I read so, so many other comics with Stan's enthusiastic voice coaching me through each part. May he rest in peace; a sad loss of all comic fans. I hope he keeps on writing the bullpen in the sky.

    Excelsior, good sir.

His appreciation of his fans always resonated and made fans feel "we" were being treated to something special.

    We certainly were.

Working with others, who are creative, is never easy and Stan seemed to always put the fans in front of any behind the scenes creative differences.

The old cartoons and my dad's leisurely interest in comic books were the first and lasting impressions that I ever had.

I learned to read because of Comic books!

So hard not to find joy in so many memories.

Must be one hell of a reunion going on in the afterlife today. At least one can hope. At least fans can aspire to be "True Believers" right?

Thank you Stan, you are now infinite.

    Rest in peace.
